Looks great! I was thinking of doing the same. Do you know if the factory silver was a powder coat and were there any issues with refinishing it?
Factory is powder coated. I sanded it down, cleaned with acetone to clean it off and then sprayed. No primer needed.

Absolutely. The best part about it is if you go offloading and scratch it again you can always shoot it with touchup.
