A curious alternative for car camping

Six foot long Exped Mattress supported by two 28 quart storage boxes and folded rear seatback (seat bottom, retained only by three clamp screws, has been removed). Very cheap.

Here's another similar option by Helle Outdoors.

He's also tested the fit in the Grenadier.

Good concept.

However, you can not write them an email, they consequently hide all their email-addresses. So it's a one-way communication setup by a "contact us" forms which I absolutely hate.

Looks like a good deal of unnecessary weight and bulk (while steel needing a pad/mattress). I use a Coleman cot, cut the legs to size (to get desired height/levelness) and you're good to go

Camping, I like to sleep on the same level as my gear, e.g. floor of a tent. I also do not want the condensation inside my vehicle. I struggle finding value in a roof top tent, but I am still curious to try one.
