The traffic sign recognition doesn't seem to work reliably.

If I had this thing on my Grenadier, I'd try a transparent matte foil on the front camera to simulate strong fog or condensation.

In that case, the system should keep quiet. And it is easy to test as a sticky or just adhesive foil can easily be built back - a 15 seconds matter.

In that case, the system shows a small warning banner at the bottom of the center screen that says that the system is unavailable.

The system will also rely solely on a pre-loaded speed limit database, unfortunately.

If you are comfortable doing so, it would be great if you shared the letter - either with the whole forum or - if you'd rather - just send it to me via private message. Whatever you feel okay with. Thanks!
I had a problem with the muscles in my eyelids letting the top lids droop, my eye doctor said it is quite common. When if got to a point that the lid covered 1/3 of the pupil, insurance paid for the simple surgery to fix ("blem surgery") . The lid edge was causing fuzzy vision due to diffraction. Surgery worked the charm.
BUT, would the auto drowsiness detection have kicked in before the surgery?

Eyelid droop as one gets older is not uncommon:

This is so ridiculous! Forcing safety measures as if taking care of children. Have it as an option for those who want it. Having it beep at 1 mile over the limit is just dumb.
I just read the Ineos Manual and lost hope of a stay off option…it literally says: “each ADAS function will reactivate when your Grenadier’s ignition is next turn on.”

I hope that someone comes up with a work around. My dealer saved the speed warning shut off page in my favorites button but it still very annoying to have to turn it off each time you start the car, and I get warning lights of a issue every now and again. If you turn off all of the options like lane assist you get a warning icon. So I stare at a warning light the whole time I am driving. Ill admit I have not read manual yet. but i was hoping someone on here can give me solution. Im shocked everyone is not going crazy about this issue. truck is undrivable if you dont turn it off.

Just want to welcome you to the club. Always good to have another Jersey guy in the mix!

I do question whether the system was calibrated for all eye types and shapes.

I never realized it had anything to do with your eyes. My Sprinter RV has a feature that tells you if/when you should take a break. I don’t know if it works off the same principle.

Not sure if my ND has this feature. If it does, so far I’ve never tripped it.

Serious question, wouldn’t it mess it all up every time the driver wore sunglasses?

So we need a box to tick in the car settings:

I’m pretty sure it works off steering frequency and “operations of controls” there’s no camera watching for you sleeping, at least that I can see

That, IMHO makes a lot more sense. It also makes sense since I tend to get those notifications when driving up I95 in Florida.....straight and boring😂

What I find strange is that Ineos would choose not to incorporate blind spot monitoring or rear cross path detection. These two feature together with emergency braking assist, which ADAS does have, are those that actually have the greatest impact on safety. The benefits of drowsy driver alert, lane keep and speed warning are dubious.
One of the issues here (and this is my pure assumption), is that usually these sensors are placed in the corners of the bumper, however, with steel bumpers, this wouldn't work and would require a switch to a plastic rear bumper

I have asked for wiring schematic and if I ever get one and can find the darn "clicker" wire, speaker, etc generating or communicating the noise I will take a chain saw to it. It's really frustrating enough (almost) to return the vehicle to dealer and go buy a g-wagon or something else. I love the truck and can only hope there is a "off for good" solution coming. I understand the other 10 or so "new car issues" like the back door not shutting, the parking sensor in front going off each drive when nothing there, one key fob not working, driver door manual lock not working, driveline vibration under load, etc. as I'm sure there were gonna be a few "bugs", but for them to purposefully create one as aggravating as the "click, click, click" baffles me to no end. Like I said in earlier post, I have watched 100's of youtube's on these and only 1-2 of them even had this system on them. Wish I knew that I was paying extra for a problem when I was picking up and paying the $100k. Would have walked away.
