Might Ineos partner with BMW to increase dealerships/service centers?

This has not been my experience.

I have the tow package installed (not sure how that corresponds to the tow module you have mentioned) and the vehicle will roll back if on a hill and the auto stop is engaged. It can be alarming, especially when it coincides with hitting the accelerator and expecting the vehicle to move forward. The auto stop/start desperately needs to be re-tuned to start the engine much sooner, and to not engage if the vehicle is on a grade which would cause it to roll back. I do wish it was considered a safety issue and either allow for it to be permanently off, or resolved.

For what its worth, the auto stop/start on my Disco V is excellent. One of its only good qualities as compared to the Grenadier.
The f150 stop/start works great also. the fords issue is a loss of fuel pump pressure. This unit is timed bad. It's way to quick to engage, like at a line at a stop sign, and doesnt sync with the tranny. I'll often hit the gas, it'll start and rev, the turbo will spool, then the transmission kickes in, and the passenger gets whiplash. I may glue that friggin' button closed.

Oh I don’t mind a little roll back, it a full on engine does not respond is not good for the nerves. You’re right the delay is somewhat no fun. But this is a complete shutdown, as soon as you transfer from brake pedal to accelerator, the dash lights up like a Christmas tree and you’ve got nothing. So you have to than get back on the brake asap. I have 2 BMW’s and the auto start stop is instant.

It’s not just about the right and wrong of things. It’s the constant negativity towards Grenadier. Almost every single thread he is in he bashes or is negative on Ineos. Sure there are issues, and I could post another super LONG response here, but would just be easier if you read the thread
Absolutely spot on. Every time I see his name - it's a Grenadier bash. I have contemplated asking to be removed from this Forum as I have had my fill of these type of comments.

As I’ve clearly pointed out you don’t have to read anything I say. Beyond that if this is a response to the Auto Start/Stop we are talking about I didn’t realize talking about something between two forum members was so devastating to your well being. I’m not sure why everyone is so emotionally attached to a thing. But again Trialmaster, if you don’t like what I have to say don’t read it. It’s not at all complicated.

Why not just turn it off, especially if you’re towing? If you poll the forum, my guess is at least 70% of us turn it off during the pre-flight checklist, anyhow. Hate it - on all vehicles. Not just the Grenadier.

I try to turn it off, but I’m in and out of the truck 25-50 times a day. This BS pre flight routine doesn’t work when you use the truck the way I do.

Makes sense - personally I wouldn’t use it as a work truck - I would just get a Ford or Chevy for that.

I am of the thought that if he went to the water cooler everybody there scattered like covey of quail. Only faster! 😀

It’s like a modern day Bonaparte and Josephine in the drunk tank after a rough night on Bourbon Street. American royalty.

Business is ROI. I have mercs and fords currently.

1) can it do the job
2) can it be serviced to limit downtime
3) is it on sale
(American made is no longer a purchase rule)

Other than that, modern vehicles are all about the same. I just ditched our las f350 service bodies. Both over 320k miles and 13 years old.

For business, stubborn doesn’t profit, and brand loyalty doesn’t pay.

I actually WONT show up in this or any other expensive SUV to a customers facility. Why even slightly spark the idea there could be a cheaper alternative. The last thing I want is a conversation about what I drive. It may start with “hey neat” but it will end with “how much did you pay”.

Point being, there’s gotta be a better option to carry birds to someone’s farm, and not just for reliability sake.

Is there other vehicles, yes for sure. Any cheaper than this yes and no, my last two trucks were in the same price range. My customers don’t look at the truck, as long as the job gets done. Farm’s aren’t my only work. I’ve had everything from Pickup Trucks to ATV’s for this job. Here’s the deal, I spend 16+ hours a day in this thing, so it’s my truck, my office, my bird carrier, my workplace. So comfort and usability are both important.

What my truck represents is the company and what we do so it’s not about price it’s about what we look like on site.

This fit the bill.

Unfortunately mine just suffers from “stuff”

Ineos is working on it with the dealer, I have had zero contact from the dealer since it was dropped off. So I’m sure I’ll hear something eventually.

If mine was like the loaner I’m driving everything would be grand

I probably remember to do the Ineos shuffle about 50% of the time that I drive the Grenadier.

As a potential buyer reading this thread......WTF I think a Prius is starting to look better. You guys are scaring me. Some of you folks own 3 Ineos while others seem to wish they had none? Ahhh The peril of reading forums, HaHa. Really, I think I can see a middle ground here. Expectations can be cruel or kind. If I step back far enough, I can see how both (it's wonderful and should be a unicorn) and (what crap) might be correct. One thing is for sure...most all of you I see on here have a intense passion for vehicles. And that passion is what you have in common. Use it to debate, to inspire. Thank all of you! You have taken the chance, the gamble, I so far am afraid to do.
