Brown Davis in Australia has released the auxiliary fuel tank that will go across the rear of the vehicle.
its around AUD$1,900 plus around 6 hours to fit. It is well built and if you follow the thread you can see about 15 photos of the fitting (bash plate goes back on)
I just ordered mine and its already a three month wait!!

How is the muffler re-routed? I cannot see details on the photos. I could only see one muffler pipe as well.

Are these type of auxiliary tanks legal for on road use in USA? Seems like a good accessory to have.

They are, Long Range (in the US Long Range America) sells very similar set ups for 80/100/200 series LC's, 3/4/5th gen 4Runners, GXs, etc

Is there a story to this bumper damage?

Which would make the car unroadworthy unless there is some smaller muffler elsewhere.
That would depend on the decibel readings after the muffler has been removed, but I suspect it is legal, and presume Brown Davis have taken a reading.
Also that muffler is not a part of the emission system.

If a Harley is legal...and it is...the G will be well under!
And I know how Harleys are able to escape punishment in Australia. Don't know the why though.

I will let someone else be the crash dummy, thanks.

Crash and large rear fuel tank are words not to be used in the same sentence!

Awesome development. I've pinged www.longrangeamerica.com with this news and have inquired about whether they have anything in the works stateside for the Grenadier. Will update with what I find out.
Here's the reply I received: "We are awaiting LRA to announce their option. Should be soon that we know something." I view that as encouraging.
