I fitted an onboard ARB single cylinder air compressor and put an outlet on either side of the battery box so I can access from either back door.
The switch is on the driver's side.
It works awesome!

Converted my AAC music files to M4A then MP3 and downloaded to a USB stick. Pleasantly surprised to see that this stick goes into the USB A in the caddy box and plays the songs on the headunit. This means I can leave that plugged in and the wireless dongle left plugged in the USB C port for android auto.

Hi folks,

today I added my mount over the centre panel. It's a good quality. I ordered it on ebay.
Here are some pictures.

Next step is to fit a RAM Mount 9" tough track on it... Length will be tricky and depth needs a support, which will be a 3d printed piece... If this doesn't come out, maybe I have to look for a new upper part...

With the mount a cell phone holder was delivered. That peace isn't really nice, baut it works great and it is really sturdy...

Went to the local Botanic Gardens, (primarily for coffee and their most fattening cake) a 80 mile round trip. The wife was driving, and returned 28.4 mpg, diesel. But when we got home the battery was still only 89%. 85% at the start of the day.
Did you ever get this sorted. Mine always hoovers around 87%. Charged it up full with a CTEK charger to level 7 and still the same. Plus my stop and start has never worked. Mines diesel too.

Bent up my Worklight mount. I have a Stedi C4 LED Cube and I don’t want it to sit above the Rhino rack. I’ll clean it up, drill holes and mount it with Rhino hardware this week.

Yes, and no. After doing some long towing journeys lately it hovers around 95% at the end of the day. There are a few observations on this
a) I'm not convinced the IBS is calibrated that accurately
b) taking a reading when you fist arrive home is misleading as the chemical reaction in the battery continues for some hours after you stop. So the reading we you get in it in the morning prior to starting the ignition is always higher than the night before.
c) this is borne out by my tracker which gives the battery voltage some 2 hours later and it is inevitable circa 12.94 - 13.04 voltage sometimes 13.2v indicates a fully charged battery
d) the smart alternator drops the charge amp rate once the starting charge has been replaced to 2 amps as I believe it tries to optimise the charge at 80%. It is only on a very long run, hours, that it gets above 95%
e) the wife's solution is " you didn't have an IBS visibility in your other cars, so stop looking". That philosophy does seem to work and you get a higher state of the battery when you are not watching all the time.
f) does a smart trickle charger actually take a battery initially to 100% charge or does it optimise to 80% like a smart alternator? It certainly does on lithium batteries.

I see different battery results. I have not been daily driving my Gren and saw SoC in the low 90 percentile. For the past 3-4 days I have been driving it daily and now see 96% SoC, without any long runs (over 20-30 minutes)

I've got exactly the same bracket bit the phone holder was rubbish, the gimbal mount is good quality. I'm going to use the quadlock system, it should fit.

Today I finished my self made rear door table.

I will not explain how I did, I will post the pictures, because this is a non-professional design, only good for other to get some inspiration:
Nice points:
  • did almost not cost me a penny, apart from the "black mirror hooks", all the rest is recuperation material
  • it is almost completely removable, as I don't want to carry the whole year a heavy table
  • good enough to put a camping stove on it
  • I can even mount a windshield between the two parallel ropes
Lesser points:
  • I is not super strong (not for cutting carrots, or steak)
  • It is not beautiful (but after testing I will paint it)
Here the pictures, the two first ones is the end result, all other pictures were taken after dismounting it (takes less than 30 seconds):

What did I do with my Grenadier today? - nothing.

I'm still in discussions with Ineos to get a fair price for the 'unsatisfactory' and quite frankly not market-ready vehicle that I have rejected back to them. Funny how Customer Service only pay attention to you after you reject a vehicle.
3 months down the line - I have rejected the Grenadire. Ineos would not negotiate on the refund value, so I took their offer - and then raised a small claims action for the balance. No response from Ineos, so just this morning I have requested a County Court Judgment.

Crossed the 5000 mile threshold yesterday. Brought it down to Curry for tow hitch install/update, 1st oil change, transfer case selector replacement (pin was missing I believe so wouldn’t budge), reset check engine light for fuel level sensor error, and install missing utility rail on passenger door.

As soon as I arrived at Curry I realized i left my tow hitch assembly at home (2 hours away…). After about an hour there They said they would give me a loaner if I wanted to drive back and get the tow hitch. I had nothing else planned and agreed. By the time i went home and made it back my car was done and tow hitch installed (they had one for another Grenadier handy).

The team @ Curry is fantastic. A nice group of people. One of the service team members was impressed with my mileage as it is the highest they have seen so far go thru the service dept.

I also finally took a pic of my medallion on the Grenadier.

I had Expedition HQ, on the Gold Coast, fit the Redarc TowPro Kit, the 13 pin Euro plug was replaced by a 12/7 pin flat pin on its own wiring loom, various Anderson plugs were fitted (5 in total). Two for solar input, 2 for fridges and the last for towing, A CTEK 250SE was mated to the 120S and lastly the Clevershade 270 Awning was fitted. A long day and most of the changes are hidden.

The same Clevershade awning fitted to a LC300.

And met up with @Kilchoman at XHQ. On my recent visit to ORS in Sydney I met up with GlobalGregors!
