No, You don't have to remove anything. You get those Z type of pieces with two rivet nuts on it. You just squish them behind the plastic covers, and you are ready to mount the Molle panels with the screws who are included. You just need an Allen wrench to fix.

O by the way. Corrugations in Belgium? You would be surprise. Not so bad as in the bush or the outback off course. But roads can be terrible here, especially on the French side of Belgium. And now after a few weeks of snow and frost.…. It will take them again a year to get some patches of tar on it to fill the holes. These seem quite practical for keeping items you might need to grab quickly out of the way when you have other cargo. Depending on what I end up doing for drawers I can see it being a nice option.
