It's a nonsense answer - it doesn't actually say you get different springs.

The answers I've received suggest there's no actual technical competence in Customer Services (not being rude here, just stating I don't believe it's a job requirement). I think they've read something that might have applied to the winch and thought to themselves that a roofrack is just the same.

Unless they start quoting different part numbers for the roofrack springs...

Yes, you're right but that is out of control of Ineos. When you ad 1644 PS horsepower to your car Ineos is not responsible to add better brakes. If they do, they are.

God is Irish?

AWo
My assumption is if they are quoting some 900# roof capacity - the springs will need to meet that as it only says in the drivers manual the weight capacity with RR. Does not spell out a RR only ordered at the time of the vehicle. Ineos is not a stupid company - let's face it - they probably have as many lawyers pouring over the manual as they have people writing it....would be nice though for the people whom are answering the phone to know technical details.

When I pressed him - he was then telling me if I ordered the rack after market I would need to either send my car back to the factory to install new springs or understand the limits - which is complete rubbish.

Springs normally have an identification number, might be worth a crawl under our cars and see what they are? With winch, not with and roof racks.

Apologies if already suggested.
Apology accepted.

There's a thread somewhere on here to help do just that... 😜

That's got to be the spec for top weight then, what else is there to add weight wise?

Have you looked at the other pair yet?

Well it seems to confirm Oz spec Front: EI-0000019547 (2 red circles) is the same as UK spec, M1, Fieldmaster, diesel, winch:
Front: EI-0000019547 (2 red circles)

Post in thread 'Coil Springs' https://www.theineosforum.com/threads/coil-springs.12412069/post-1333177745

So no additional tier of spring loadings for the barwork, which add 40kg and 7kg:

Yes but 40kgs isn't much
Allow for the pendulum effect and possibly 70kgs. (guesstimate)

Looks to me like the lighter end of the spectrum might be EI-0000021752 (2 blue triangles) in the rear.
And heavier end of the spectrum are 5seat StationWagon's, with winch, petrol (diesel would be considered even heavier and might have another color spring?), which get the EI-0000019547 (2 red circles) up front?

**LIGHT**
DCPU; UK spec, N1 (which is a 2seat UtilityWagon/UW, but then you had them add the rear bench to make it a 5seat??), RHD, diesel, no winch, 17" steel wheels with BFG KO2 tyres, ROOF RACK, LIGHT BAR, SNORKEL, SIDE RUNNERS OR ROCK SLIDERS?
Front: EI-0000019546 (2 green circles)
Rear: EI-0000021752 (2 blue triangles)

Logsplitter; 2 seat petrol commercial (N1 UW), winch, roof rack, side steps/runners, dual battery, tow pack etc.
Front: EI-0000019546 (2 green circles)

**MEDIUM??**
Eldoret Blue up on inspection rack, Seattle WA; USA spec, M1 SW, Fieldmaster, petrol, winch, 18" alloy, roof rack, side runners, SNORKEL?

Do all these different springs operate in the same way when we are all operating at maximum GVM

Diesel > winch

Believe it is only the winch that changes the springs. As mention before, Eibach only have 2 lifted option springs; winch and no winch.

As per post 73 above. I have a two seat commercial, petrol with winch and have two green circles on front springs. @DCPU diesel engine no winch and two green circles on springs. @Jean Mercier has a 5seat petrol version with winch and two red circles on front springs. And @Arkaig has a five seat diesel with a winch and two red dots on his front springs. Can’t be just the winch that changes the springs I think.

From what I can determine thus far;
--FRONT--
2 green circles is the lightest FRONT spring (2seat diesel + no winch, or a 2seat with lighter petrol engine + winch + dual battery + roof rack + side steps, or interestingly a 5seat diesel + no winch).
2 red circles is the heavier FRONT spring (5seat with lighter petrol engine + winch + dual batteries + snorkel, or interestingly a 5seat diesel + winch + side steps + roo bar + brush guards). I would have thought this last example would have an even heavier front spring.

--REAR--
2 blue triangles is the lightest REAR spring (2seat diesel + no winch).
2 green triangles is a bit heavier REAR spring (2 seat petrol + winch + dual battery + roof rack + side steps).
2 red triangles is the heaviest REAR spring (5 seat petrol + winch + dual battery).

5seat adds a lot of potential mass to be controlling = heavier springs.
@AnD3rew , would love to know your rear springs as it appears yours is the most fully loaded (5seat) of all of these rigs.

N1 - 5 seater, no winch. Diesel engine. Green circles at the front, Red triangles at the back.

Trialmaster 5 seat uk spec Diesel winch dual battery , high air intake and rocksliders .
Have red circles at the front as expected but was surprised to find blue trinagles at the back .

My theory is that the roof rack upgrades your springs in the back the same way the winch upgrades them at the front .
