Coil Springs (specs v build)

Trialmaster 5 seat uk spec Diesel winch dual battery , high air intake and rocksliders .
Have red circles at the front as expected but was surprised to find blue trinagles at the back .

My theory is that the roof rack upgrades your springs in the back the same way the winch upgrades them at the front .

**LIGHT**
DCPU; UK spec, N1 (which is a 2seat UtilityWagon/UW, but then you had them add the rear bench to make it a 5seat??), RHD, diesel, no winch, 17" steel wheels with BFG KO2 tyres, ROOF RACK, LIGHT BAR, SNORKEL, SIDE RUNNERS OR ROCK SLIDERS?
Front: EI-0000019546 (2 green circles)
Rear: EI-0000021752 (2 blue triangles)

Logsplitter; 2 seat commercial (N1 UW), petrol, winch, roof rack, side steps/runners, dual battery, tow pack etc.
Front: EI-0000019546 (2 green circles)
Rear; EL- 0000019550 (2 green triangles)

**MEDIUM**
Voader - Oudersopzwier; EU spec N1 5seater, diesel, no winch. ROOF RACK, LIGHT BAR, SNORKEL, SIDE RUNNERS OR ROCK SLIDERS?
Front: EI-0000019546 (2 green circles)
Rear: EI-0000021751 (2 red triangles)

Jean Mercier; EU spec M1 SW 5seat, Trialmaster, LHD, petrol, winch, dual battery, BF Goodrich A/T, steel rim, safari windows, snorkel, NO side steps.
Front: EI-0000019547 (2 red circles)
Rear: EI-0000021751 (2 red triangles)

Arkaig; UK spec, M1 SW, Fieldmaster, RHD, diesel, winch, WHICH TIRES/WHEELS?(adds some unsprung weight to the rig). ROOF RACK, LIGHT BAR, SNORKEL, SIDE RUNNERS OR ROCK SLIDERS?
Front: EI-0000019547 (2 red circles)
Rear; ?? (??)

Eldoret Blue up on inspection rack, Seattle WA; USA spec, M1 SW, Fieldmaster, petrol, winch, 18" alloy, roof rack, side runners, SNORKEL?
Front: ?? (??)
Rear; EI-0000019650 (??)

Tinki; UK spec M1 , Trialmaster , RHD , diesel , winch , rocksliders , snorkel
Front: EI-0000019547 (2 red circles)
Rear: EI-0000021752 (2 blue triangles)

**HEAVY**
AnD3rew; Aussie spec M1 SW, Trialmaster, RHD, diesel, winch, side steps, roo bars, brush guards. WHICH TIRES/WHEELS, ROOF RACK, LIGHT BAR, SNORKEL?
Front: EI-0000019547 (2 red circles)
Rear: ?? (??)

But Logsplitter has 2 green triangles in the rear, and he has a roof rack;

Front: EI-0000019546 (2 green circles)

Is yours a SW or UW?

mine is a belstaff edition not a utility .

My assumption here is that the red shapes are the highest rating springs . So if you order the roof rack you get them ,

Now just thinking out loud here if we have a look at the part numbers and we assume that any logical engineer would number them in sequence we have the following :

Front : EI-0000019546 (2 green circles) assuming light then Front: EI-0000019547 (2 red circles) assuming heavy

IF we follow that logic for the rear then it does not make sence :

Rear : EL- 0000019550 (2 green triangles) assuming light which makes sence but then it does not make sence for the remainign two : ie : EI-0000021751 (2 red triangles) ? assumin medium EI-0000021752 (2 blue triangles) ? heavy ?

thoughts ?

I think we need more data . :)

As for logsplitter's springs i have no explanation . as i said my theories are just that theories.

It is not impossible that @Logsplitter had the wrong springs installed.

its just a thought, but in reading through where heavy springs are used, it does appear the anomaly.
to be honest it corssed my mind also , but then i noticed the sequence of part numbers and decided to keep that part of my theory to my self .
we need more data , or someone who works at ineos.

There are 5 different spring rates for the front, 6 for the rear.

For the rear, purple, white, green, red, blue, black triangular markings.

Not sure about the front, but we should be able to work it out from the info we have.
And the plot thickens …….

Not sure if this has already been posted but digging around on their website gets some more specs of the lift kit springs.

Never replied to myself before so this is a first.

Front 5 spring options are green, red, blue, purple, black circular markings.

Well I hope I’ve got the right springs. Petrol engine ,winch, roof rack, dual battery etc. 100l extra fuel, 100l water two spare wheels and tyres, masses of camping kit. I reckon I’m maxed out out at at least 3500kg for the bulk of my six month tour. Let’s see how the springs and shocks do 👍🏼

Yet so far we've only seen examples of 3 of the colors. Will be interesting to see which rigs get red, purple, black.
It'd be slick of IA to produce a spring rate spec sheet w/ colors and shapes, like Mercedes did for the G-Wagen.

i bet some geek engineer has already made one up and i suspect the way the springs get assigned is based on a formula which includes the market also .

Ok so here are my rear springs. Two blue triangles. I have towbar, no full roofrack but a pair of OE crossbars.

So for me:
AnD3rew; Aussie spec, Trialmaster, RHD, diesel, winch, side steps, roo bars, brush guards. Winch, 17” Alloys with KO2 tyres, roof bars, tow bar, snorkel.

Belgium delivery => Trialmaster Petrol (M1 EU spec 5 seater) with rock sliders and winch => 2 red dots on the front springs and two red triangles on the back springs.
I can’t see any logic to this so far. Mine is petrol with a winch , roof rack, tow pack etc but two seats. Green dots at front and green triangles at rear. . Maybe you specified the rear seating for very fat ba—tards 🤔

I see you dropped the s in ba-tards but that's exactly how you spell that word in French 🤪

So mine is the M1G EU 5 seat petrol without roof rack, trial master, dual battery, tow pack, winch front and rock sliders. I wonder if you have the 2-seater the coils are just a different compression rate and not necessarily load rating. It would make sense since the vehicle would behave differently when unladen compared to an M1G version no?
