Yesterday I stopped at a famous railway station. Today I towed a boat. Who knows what’s on for tomorrow?

Spent Thursday to Sunday evening at RIAT, (Royal International Air Tattoo), camping and volunteering as a finance assistant, (counting money and programmes). 150 miles there and back, the current total mileage is 4875. The usual cluster of false alarms, including ABS, transmission, PCMS and seatbelt, but nothing more serious. The past few days have been wet and the ground cut up a bit; the Grenadier was imperious, the Transit that followed me got stuck, (and had to be pulled out by others as they had no towing eye).

Photographs separated by a year and about 30m! Happy with the tent; it did not get swamped by the wind and rain which plagued all three days to some extent.

The Wales' William and Kate brought the sprogs on Friday; https://news.sky.com/story/prince-w...-at-worlds-largest-military-air-show-12921012

After the delights of RIAT and the mundanity of getting tent and clothes dry, Jason, the service manager of Chandlers of Belton, rang yesterday to tell me the tow ball was in, (yippee!), and they had some recall/warranty work to do on the steering. Booking and courtesy car sorted for 02/08/2023.

Then, this morning when I got to the office, I saw the fault that most annoys me, much, much more than the late tow ball or random electronic flag waiving of spurious faults, a droopy door seal, like my old LR110CSW before the rebuild in 2008. Jason has added it to the list for the 2nd of August, together with the external seal on the driver's door that is letting rainwater pool between the seals.

Still, at least the Grenadier has the inner seal to keep the cab dry!

Recall? An actual recall or he’s just kinda using that term?
No idea - there is no official recall on the database, so I guess it is more of a "Workshop Bulletin" issue. No word of the software update so far.

Yes my Australian agent who has just started deliveries tells me they have a list of “service bulletins” of checks and rectifications they need to do before delivery based on all of the stuff that has been learned in UK/EU so far. Hopefully that means we avoid at least some of the initial pain that many of you have had.

Tested out the tent and awning, and sent the digger off to another job.

Can we get sight of this. I feel this would be pro-active of the UK agents rahter than the mystery of what they will do at the 'software' update

Nothing too flash. However my license/number plate could only utilise the top two mounts for a non winch grenadier. Problem is, if crossing rivers, the pressure will push back the plate at the bottom. Weakening and eventually breaking the top holders. So 2 pieces of C channel mounted vertically across the mounts will now give a brace for the number plate to push against.

Mine has the front tow hook with the hinged front number plate.
Looks like it will have very good support

Are your hub covers on the wheels blue or is still the cover sticker on it?

I’m curious, because it looks actually somehow good.
I remember thinking the same but as you correctly suspected, it is the protective covering from the factory.

Protective blue plastic was in one pic as Dealer had not removed them. I have since taken them off. 50/50 as to hint of blue or not.
