It’s a BromptonToday, nothing ...
Bicycle to railway station, train to Antwerp, first assignment but canceled, now sitting in train to Brussels for second assignment, then train back home (Ghent region), bicycle to home, and in the afternoon or evening ...
Dye the hair of my wife (hate that)
And then the nicer part, already partially done, continue to pack my car:

Because tomorrow I take the road to Hungary to visit my youngest son, spouse and granddaughter.
About 1400 km one way on my own (my partner still works, till May 31). Will take motorways and main roads to be there on Saturday.
Will take the road back home next Wednesday avoiding all motorways to be back on May 31. I hope to find some nice tracks to test the capabilities of the car.
I promise to post feedback, positive and negative, but perhaps not every day.
Question: what's the yellow stuff in my trunk?
In fact, it is brand new, newer than the Grenadier. It’s a Brompton
I recognised the folding hinge! In fact, it is brand new, newer than the Grenadier.
I bought it for several reasons:
I would have liked another colour, green for instance, but this yellow one was available at once.
- I can't park my car in most underground parkings anymore, therefore having a foldable bike can help me to park my car at some distance and arriving on time.
- I often take the train to go to appointments unless it's to much of a hassle or to far away from a railway station, therefore the bicycle will make me more flexible
- In some countries there is zero tolerance concerning alcohol when you drive. Even when I am camping I often like to drive to go to a restaurant to eat well and drink some glass of wine or beer ... now I can do it with the bicycle
Pvc sheet to stop the water getting in your safari roofNot much to go on Jean, is it the middle part of a massive Belgian flag and you will fly it from the Gren whenever you camp?
They will do you for DUI on a bicycle here, classed as a vehicle and same penaltiesI bought it for several reasons:

'Badger Juice' - brilliant. We can exchange Jean, I enjoy home brewing, but after 6 “Badger Juice” you won’t be in control of you legs never mind a bicycle. View attachment 7812334
Nope, only kills self control and any verbal filters get a proper de-cat ! According to a friend who drinks it.'Badger Juice' - brilliant.
Hope has sufficient ABV to kill any TB!
It fits, it actually fits….
We built this shed last year to accommodate the Gren but the car height exceed the tolerance we built in to the door….! In short, there was absolutely no spare wriggle room to get it inside and the roof bars rubbed against the roller shutter door shrouds…. It only just touches and “brushed the dust” off the bars. No damage to the Gren or structure.. Huge relief as it was going to be a case of getting the disk cutter to cut two channels in to the concrete floor.. That would have been a right faff and a total bodge job.
I’m going to get a brace of 56 lb weights and put them in the back prior to shed entry and that’ll give me the .5mm reduction in ride height to prevent any contact..
Yellow is HiViz. Best choice imho.I would have liked another colour, green for instance, but this yellow one was available at once.
Do you really think I am old?Is it an electric one?
First day driving to Hungary. Started with PDC error. Stopped the car after 3 km and did a cold start again. No warning anymore.
Once in the Walloon part of Belgium I switched from Flemish radio to mp3 on my cell phone.
And then weird, in Luxemburg my phone disconnected several times. Why? Cable not well connected? Phone getting hot? Change of operator? Had to stop several times. And reconnect the USB cable (Android phone).
Drove about 900 km, at maximum speed of 120 km/h, Waze speed, that means 125 km/h on the Grenadier screen. Often with cruise control. Mainly in Germany (Small very short exceptions on speed).
Arrived now in Czechia and am at a camping place, and tried my bicycle too. And will use an inflatable mattress, also new, yes I am getting old. I always used to sleep on a Karriemat.
I will also have electric light in my tent, coming from the roof connector of the car, switch EXT3. A luxury, I always used candles in the past.
If that's your current picture.......winter is coming John SnowDo you really think I am old?
Sounds a bit like a Grenadier would age you faster ....And will use an inflatable mattress, also new, yes I am getting old. I always used to sleep on a Karriemat.
