Workshop Repair and Parts Manuals. A General Discussion.

It seems so many other threads are derailed by the workshop manual debate to the point it needs it's own discussion thread.
For the people that are users, collectors or interested in service manuals this may be a thread where anyone who has had professional experience, DIY experience, lack of experience can comment, ask about anything related to manual formats (electronic or print) to what is included and not included in manuals, what likes and dislikes and difficulties people find using service manuals, TSBs and parts diagrams as well as opinions.

May as well start off. If Ineos releases a manual what format would people like to see?

My choice is black and white line drawings with something like expanded isometric views pdf. Two reasons this style prints and copies easily and in digital format sections are easily email and downloads well with less glitches. The flash 3D coloured movable drawings can be very slow to download and glitches on slow, heavily used networks or with too many open pages or apps.
