Yes, that's what I think: next time it happens I will first push down "interesting" fuses and relays one by one and try to start the motor after each "push down".
Yeah might be tedious work but hopefully it will help finding out which is the culprit and then the more important question why is it popping out.

It would be good to get it plugged into the Ineos diagnostic tool and see if there's any fault codes relating to the immobiliser failing a handshake or something similar.
Would be nice if something like that is available for consumers or any other OBD tool on the private market but i guess we still have to wait.
Maybe INEOS can beside the 3d workshop manuals also sell Diagnostics SW to read out the faults for not a too high price.
This should help with the help owners repair out in the bush

On September 3, after some hours driving and a stop of half an hour, my car didn't fire. @Blackbox88 suggested that I put the sound file in SoundCloud, with a link to the file.

This was the sound, click here.

Apparently @Alprider had a similar problem on August 19.
I don't know if it was the waiting, or the fact that I pushed down all the fuses and relays, but I could start the car after about half an hour standstill.

Any comments are welcome.
[EDITED] Reading this thread again, I see that @Shaky suggested on August 20 to push all the relays and fuses in! I knew during standstill that somebody wrote something like that on the forum, therefore that was the reason I did it. So thanks for the suggestion!
I had a similar problem some years ago. Then it was the immobilisation device of the car that allowed the starter to turn but not the engine to start.
The car immediately started when using the second key.

Normally, going OEM on something like this would be the safe option, usually at a premium.

However, Ineos and software. 🫣

I think I have higher hopes on the aftermarket to not only bring out a more robust solution, but also have the level of direct after sales to support it properly.

Just drove mine on a 1000km round trip on-road. Amazingly almost all the random bings and bongs on startup have now settled down. When I first picked it up the agent said the battery was low so they had charged it before delivery. I’m thinking maybe tje software is a bit sensitive to low batteries and that now it’s had a proper run that charged it fully maybe that’s the reason it’s all good now. I know from past experience that bmw X5s and X6s don’t like low batteries, I’m thinking maybe ineos is the same issue?

Yeah agree always prefer OEM but yeah seeing the current status it is not giving hope.
On the other hand they should have something already for like agents and private specialist as another member for this forum.
So would be nice if they can just share/sell that software.

Lets see I think it is just time will for now.

I think the selling price would be eye watering...

Brake pedal went soft on pressing in a mild hard stop all of a sudden, only driven for 4.5 days, around 160km only town driving. There was a click a bit like ABS kicking in then foot went to the floor. The brakes still worked but very soft pedal rather than the excellent brakes it started with. So I took it back to dealers (local BMW garage) just before closing yesterday. Mechanic had gone home but left it with the service team. Still waiting to hear back today (4PM), I called earlier but said they were still looking at it and would call me back.
Hasn’t happened again since i took it back so I assume it was a one off or that bleeding the system has fixed it. That said I haven’t done a fast stop invoking the ABS since then either. Brakes are reassuringly solid and back to normal since then.

To summarise we have:
  • Rear Seat Belt warnings - a few owners - possibly fix from Amazon or buckle up.
  • Power Steering Pump message - clears after 5
  • Tyre Pressure Warning messages - a few owners
  • Power steering warning came on, and after a restart, the PDC warning also came on - quote @rovie
  • It is suggested that battery condition maybe causing some of the above.

Any others to add to the list? Are there owners with NO problems?
All of the above. It had one other which was that on reversing I had a high pitched constant alarm like the reversing PDC noise but on all the time. That got stuck “on” and wouldn’t switch off even on switching the engine off and restarting. Eventually shut and locked doors and locked car, walked away for 5 minutes and it eventually shut up. Hasn’t happened again thank goodness but that was the worst - far more than the rear seat belt.

At 1500km i rarely even get a warning light at engine start up. They seem to have settled down for me also

Why would you assume that?
I would be driving it out of the dealer and doing several emergency brake scenarios in a quiet and controlled situation rather than making an assumption which could very well be wrong
We all know what they say assume stands for

I am , though I haven't taken delivery of my fully paid for vehicle and am no wiser as to what the software error code is.
If I translate this into Ukrainian will I get an answer/solution?

At almost 5000 km, I still get some warning lights when turning on, but the new thing is that if I wait for them to go off and start the engine, they don't reappear...

Too true. Will do exactly that this weekend on some loose gravel.

Personally I would be doing it on dry bitumen, wet bitumen and gravel to cover all surfaces and brake pressures and be repeating it a few times.
Faulty brakes without a diagnosis is not good IMO
