Where is the sensor for the dash board temp gauge

I wonder where the sensor is:
In the short circuit around the cylinder where the temperature rises quickly ?
Or in the general coolant circuit?

I think it is in the short circuit, my daahboard temp gauge hits normal in a mile, but the engine temperature gauge takes 8 minutes or 8 miles to get to operating temperature

In a similar vein, I notice the fuel level percentage buried in the vehicle info settings menu does not consistently agree with the fuel gauge.

Good point: I had not thought of comparing the 2 infos !

Interesting, I did not know there was a fuel level info in the settings menu.I'll check mine🙁
