I went with the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 255/85/17, on the factory 17" wheels. So far, so good. It doesn't seem any louder than the stock KO2's. The speedo now almost exactly matches two GPS's. Before it was slow by 3-7 MPH, depending on speed.
Are you on stock suspension (no lift)? Also does the spare tire clear the small rear door and the rear wiper? Thanks

I also run the 255/85 R17 baja boss. I have stock suspension (no lift), and it fits perfectly (no rubbing). The spare doesn't fit, you need a relocation bracket or add spacers to tilt it out for more clearance.

255/80r17 are officially on. Next step Radflo shocks tomorrow. It passed the first test, getting in a 6'10 garage. The foldable antenna in back did get pushed flat. I thought I had it low enough leaving this morning.

I've got the 255/85r17 MT Baja AT tires on the stock wheels and suspension, installed by Discount Tire. They added a bunch more air than necessary to the tires, but I'm running them at roughly 40 psi now on pavement and ~15psi on the trails.

I added two of these washers (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087WM3DND?tag=globalgrena0b-20) to the bottom lug of the spare wheel, and four to the inboard lug, and now the rear doors open without complaint. Without the washers, I had to open/close both doors at the same time from the interior.

I exercised the 4wd system and new tires on three trips into the mountains over the past week and I can confirm that in crossups (two wheels lifted, two stuffed) and in reasonable mud there was no rubbing. I can also confirm that the speedo is close to accurate after the tires. At~50mph the speedometer reads 1mph slower than GPS, and at ~70mph the speedo reads about 2mph slower than GPS, but below about 40mph the speedo matches GPS.

The tires performed as expected in mud - I had to intentionally spin them into second gear to clear the treads rather than stay in first gear and tractor through, but that's a lot better than most "AT" tires that would need third gear to clear the treads. The tires were EXCELLENT in snow on top of ice. A friend of mine fell into the ditch, or almost off the side of the road, a handful of times in front of me while I just plodded along without issue. Part of that is driving style, certainly, but these things impressed me with how well they handled ~8in of snow on top of ice that was risky to walk on sometimes.

Discount tires did mine too and they filled the tires big time. They had them at 46 them they lowered it to 42. I'm running 38 I'm from with 40 I'm the back, 38 in front.

I found it funny that they attempted to lift the truck 2 jack. Had to break out the 3 ton.

Did the tire shop really use four floor jacks on that Quartermaster? If just one or those jacks had a slow hydraulic leak or the tech didn’t close the valve tight enough that could have been a disaster. If I was standing nearby and saw things shaping up that way on my vehicle I’d be over like a shot and tell them to stop immediately. I’ve been in shops and witnessed customers vehicles fall off floor jacks before it is very dangerous and is big liability for the shop.

That is certainly a less expensive solution than the bracket that I purchased. How is the rear camera view?
