What did you do with your Grenadier today?

I would like to k ow how you make out with the AC and heat “quirk”. Also, what wipers are you going with? Have you decided?
I’ll find out tomorrow. The AC purge and refill should fix the cold. The whining when the heat is on full max, might just be what it is from what I gather from other owners in the forum. Haven’t decided on wipers yet.

I got a low tire light a few miles from home (starting a 350mi drive), pulled over to pump some air back in the tire and found that swapping it was a more appropriate solution

Got home, swapped it for the spare (impact and floor jack in the driveway make the job much more enjoyable than on the side of the road with hand tools) and realized I hadn't even noticed where the leak was actually coming from

Sooooo these Wildpeak A/T3Ws with almost 23k miles will be going the way of the dodo tomorrow and get swapped out for a fresh set of Wildpeak A/T4Ws along with some other goodies

That split looks more like a manufacturing issue than damage. (I'm no expert!) It might be worth going for a warranty claim.

New shoes for the Grenadier! I am very pleased with it. Fitting perfekt, nor rubbing (so far) and

even the door in the back opens …with LESS than 1mm space 😂😂😂. (285/75-17 Geolander MT003)

RobP:
That looks great. I like those wheels immediately when I saw them. Can you tell me if your greanadier is lifted and what size tires you are using?
Thank you in advance.
Jeff
Hi Jeff - Thanks! I saw these wheels on another member's Gren and immediately knew these were exactly what I was looking for. I have no lift and I'm running 285/70/17 KO2s. Just a bit wider than stock, but these rims make them look slightly bigger imo.
Agile was great to work with and they shipped them quickly.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon what started only to paint the wheel hub with Lanoguard to get rid and protect surface rust. Then got carried away and painted the side runners, metal brackets underneath the car, prop shafts, shocks, basically anything what is black. Happy with the results. My advice is to use a paint brush rather than spray. Neater job, no masking up, less mess and only used less than 1/2 litre. Alright for an amateur DIY job.

So the factory inverter wouldn’t handle the 1475 Watt KMini coffee maker. So I did the right thing and bought a 300w 3 minute kettle. (5+ Minutes with cold water) dumped it in the KMini let it sense it was hot already and brewed away!

We drove home from 4 days in Big Bend today. The grenadier did great. No issues on Black Gap Trail on Friday. I can't count how many people stopped me to ask about the Grenadier. I was literally flagged down on the roads around the park more than once and virtually every time we parked either in the park or around Terlingua, I had one or more people coming up to ask about it.

Coming up "the Gap" (I did have to engage the rear lockers):

Looking good Texas Crane! Do you think that mounting bracket would work for the larger, 4 gallon Rotopax? Have a great time in Big Bend, we will be out near Marfa the following weekend.
I don't have one to test, but I think it would work. However, I'd be worried about blocking access to the rear door handle with the larger rootpax.

Look absolutely GREAT!! Now the unevitable question for Germany: Are they road legal? If so, where did you get them qualified?
