No doubt a topic that could spawn 53 pages of emotion :)
I've stuck my trusty analog pencil tyre gauge on the console via a couple of Terry clips.

Of all the gauges I've accumulated over the decades (screw on/clip on/hold on : 1950s Michelin , 80s Porsche , sundry cheapies, dial style (one on my tyre inflator), digital (on my portable gun inflator) it is the one that correlates precisely with the readout on the Grenadier screen.
Therefore it remains , easily grabbed and nicely portable.

We all talk of how capable our Grenadier’s are off-road. Most aIso drive on paved surfaces if only to arrive at an off-road trail. I decided to attend a Driver Skills Day taught by instructors from the local Porsche Club, BMW Club, and Dirtfish a WRC training and event facility. We have done this with all of our vehicles to learn how they handle in a controlled environment. The location was Pacific Raceways which has an NHRA quarter-mile drag strip, 2.25-mile road course and more. First there was a ground school to talk about the days activities and the dynamics of driving. There was lots of seat time on a closed course, perfecting our technique with exercises designed to focus on essential driving skills: looking ahead, weight balance, smooth inputs, threshold braking, and more. The day's exercises included a slalom course, wet skidpads, braking and accident avoidance course, autocross and a figure 8 exercise. The last exercise was SLOW lead / follow laps around the road course. Video is of the road course at a MUCH higher speed than we attained. Highly recommend taking a similar class near you.

I installed the GP Factor Bull Bar—premium quality and a perfect fit. It was a one-man job and took about 20 minutes.
Oh that looks great! (y) What's your first impression of GP's multi-piece bolt-together design? (vs traditional welded)

Impossible to quantify, I understand. Just your impression how the parts mate and the fasteners they use. Cheers.

Loved the video, I just love watching a 911 GT3 RS going at full tilt, but not for the faint hearted looking at that G metre.
I would off been vomiting if I was in the passenger seat.

Picked up my Rock Sliders from the dealer, after the wagon ones were ordered for my Quartermaster. They did not fit, so these were ordered. On the way home got a call to check the order numbers, as not sure if two RHS ones were ordered. Sure enough 2x RHS rock sliders. This is beyond a joke now. Told them they can drop off the LHS one and pick up the second RHS. Done wasting my time, as they should have been fitted on delivery.

Honestly, I was initially concerned about the bolt-together design before placing the order. However, after some research and consideration, I decided to go with it. The final product is very well made, and all the OEM screws are replaced with new bolts and washers.
Btw, I’m not familiar with welding, but it seems like it would be quite easy to weld the three pieces together if needed.

Got the new shoes installed! 8,5x18 Heavy Duty Twin Monotubes with 275/65 R18 116 H Geolandars. Waiting for the Agile bracket currently on the way from US to Europe to turn the spare wheel facing backwards too. And need to change back to the original black/silver centercaps, the ones that came with the rims are a little fugly...

If anybody want's to know how a BlackVue camera looks like installed in a grenadier here you have. they are highly reliable, more than 5 years installed in my previous Bison. Dual Blackvue battery pack fits perfectly under our seats and it will give you 48 hours of HD parking mode. i did all the install my self connecting to the interior aux passenger side.

Just under the Front seat mounting frame, is a small area that is perfect for a Glock 9mm This is a great place for concealment! I mounted a magnetic holster clip on the floor. Opps guess it is not concealed anymore? Please be responsible. This is for those with a permit, or live in areas that don't require a permit to be legal.

Looks so good. Had the same in the Raptor for 4 years. Saved me (and others) many times. I had the rear camera also. Was looking at how the Blackvue might fit in the Grenadier. Do you have any details on the install? Fuse used, wire routing etc. Would really appreciate.

I removed the majority of the pin stripes.

Next time, I will invest in some clear wrap of some kind.

I did a bunch of things, but the thing that has me excited the most is adding a Joolca hot water heater. I have it running off a 20L Jerry now but I am waiting for an 8 gallon midnight forest tank to arrive which I will put on my roof rack.

Joocla make good stuff. I bought one of those for my new hybrid caravan (under cosntuction). They also make a great Porti Potti called a GottaGo.

I drove the 200+ kms on Monday to drop my Grenadier off for service at Ineos Noosa on the Sunshine Coast.
They gave me a Tank 300 as a loan car which I drove back home and down again today.Interesting vehicle
I now have complete sympathy for those with "Intelligent Driver Assistance" or ADAS in their Grenadiers.
I drove back this morning and picked up the Beast and drove the 200+ kms home.

A bit of an unfair comparison as the Grenadier is twice the price of the Tank 300 but how pleasing it was to get back into the beast.
Seats, steering, driving position, driver interface and road holding were more than twice as good in the Grenadier.

The beast was in for it's 30,000 km service and several campaigns.

  1. Wiring clash with steering pump.
  2. Passenger airbag coding
  3. Crossmember water ingress
  4. Battery combiner check torque
  5. Install auxiliary battery cover
  6. replace starter conductor rail
  7. IAMWO003355 software update
  8. Check aircon performance and leaks
  9. Replace all door button seals.
She certainly drives and feels smoother, as you would expect with all new oils etc.
The display looks different but I can't identify how or what, looks clearer/larger fonts.

It was so good driving home in control of my vehicle instead of fighting it with those incredibly stupid driver aids.

Left uk Sunday morning arrived Sundsvall Sweden 10.30 am yesterday morning
the Grenadier is that easy and comfortable to drive never felt tired or fatigued
One problem we now have a cracked windscreen due to the 1 in a million stones hitting the ever so small windscreen
