20 INCH LIGHTBAR ON TOP LOOP OF THE ROO BAR?
I have been working on a little project for a few weeks now. I find out tomorrow whether it will work.

I was going to install a 10-inch low profile LED Lightbar under the top loop of the Roo Bar (in NSW it is illegal to mount then above the Roo Bar – even though people do it).

After some research I am now trying to mount a 20-inch lightbar there instead– it will either just fit or not fit. It is so close we need to do an actual test fit.

I needed low profile mounting brackets, which I now have and I have done a test bracket fitting. I had worked out 3 ways to mount the 20-inch lightbar to the bracket, but after the test fitting 2 of those ways will not work. All 3 should work with a 10-inch lightbar. Power will come from the 10 amp bonnet circuit, with some other wiring.

I do not want my mounting brackets or lightbar to be an additional pedestrian risk, so everything must be behind or inline with the Roo Bar. When mounted, the Roo Bar slopes backwards from the bumper.

When I visit ORS tomorrow, we will try and fit the 20-inch lightbar, the worst-case scenario is we fit the 10-inch lightbar instead.

I could not locate many 15-inch lightbars with the right profile – I found one with a hefty price tag (over twice the price of the one I am buying). I want to reduce any interference with air flow to the radiator, so options are limited to single row, low profile lightbars.

I could probably mount the 20 inch lightbar down of the bumper, but with a winch installed, I do not want to drill holes or have bolts in the bumper anywhere near the winch.

What is the clearance like on the bumper bar where you have the small lights bolted in? I wanted to stay away from the winch.

I ordered the ABNTR4x4 Rock Sliders today as well. I blame @wakeo for that Pictures of the sliders on his car here.

The only remaining things to decide are buying bashplates and whether or not I fit a Redarc gauge to monitor turbo boost and EGT.

I have only ordered then, that car is @wakeo 's. And they look great, one reason they are going onto my Scottish White car. Buy once, cry once.

Someone posted somewhere about loosing the grommet by the wipers.
So mine flew off to never never land and I just noticed it yesterday.
Check yours too after those long drives.

Looked in my parts bin and found a grommet which fits nicely.
Put some 3M weatherstrip/gasket adhesive, let it be tacky and put it on.

No issues at all with clearance. The dual row bar absolutely packs a punch

It switches off after a few minutes, doesn't it? At least that's what I think I once noticed.

10 minutes but each time you open the door the system reboots. Do it 5x and you get battery warning

All right. Thank you. Then that matches my experience. I had the doors open most of the day while I was trimming hedges and bushes because it was so hot. I had no message and no starting problems.

Strange you should talk about dead batteries. Just used my Noco boost pack to start a car opposite. Not the Defenders but a Ford something or other. Love a Noco!

Yep, didn't a certain ASPW experience this.

Wired in a dash cam today. I used the aux2 wires in the drivers footwell. I daren't wire it into the fusebox as it was so tight for space and most of the drivers fuse box fuses are for BCM's which I was worried I might screw up. Wiring it into the Aux switch means that If I want to run the camera with the engine off I can using the PWR switch. It all seems to be working fine.
