How about something weird like “internal combustion engine,” just to make it sound more techy?I was thinking of something like 'engine'
Australians are favouring hybrids. Partly because even the weather wants to kill you. Cyclones, floods , bushfires wipe out power supplies. Unless you have a battery to go with solar you may be stranded with a pure EV.We have a smallish generator which I don't think could practically charge a car (it would take forever), but I suppose if we had an electric vehicle we'd invest in one of those natural gas powered whole-home generators.
Here in the UK we don't need to worry about power outages, as we have a very competent government minister Ed Milband ( Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change )
Who is going to power the country with wind and solar ! not only is he going to reduce our household bills he is also going to make the UK a world leader in the green energy. After all everyone knows the uk is famous for its long hot summers and our very cheap lbr market. Look out China and India we are coming for you.
We don't even need to worry about wild fires because its always bloody raining!
For those of you sitting on the fence about buying a Grenadier in the UK its now time, cant think of a better Doomsday Vehicle.
Same here in the colony down under. The Australian Energy minister is named Bowen, so clever that he's obviously named after a Far North Qld mango. Last week during a normal Brisbane summer's day all public/civil servants were ordered to turn off non essential computer screens, one printer only for the office, close blinds to stop external heat etc. This was the token effort to reduce power on the now fragile grid. My friends tell me that down in the basement car park, reserved for "head sheds", the mandatory EVs for virtue signalling managers, were all on active fast chargers!!Here in the UK we don't need to worry about power outages, as we have a very competent government minister Ed Milband ( Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change )

It's ironic that in the hot parts of Australia (most places) people are using the power of the sun to cool themselves down.Same here in the colony down under. Wouldn’t the A-pillar airbags mitigate the head going in that direction?Passenger side has a much larger airbag that helps prevent the head moving off to the side (think of hitting a pillow dead center, verses toward the edge). I wouldn't expect the Ineos dealer to know/care they are just selling parts. Here is a video of a Toyota 4 Runner that illustrates how the head sort of 'grazes' off the side of the driver's airbag and heads toward the pillar.

I hope no one ever has to find out, but odds are someone will. Its your family, and your decision, just wanted to make it know for you (or anyone else) that may not have thought about this reality before they decide to do the same..
We lose power many times in North Queensland. Last time was January '24 - another cyclone and related flooding. We had 4 days without power. Was nice to have fuel in multiple vehicles and have the luxury to drive occasionally in a/c to cool down. Very few pure electric vehicle households up here.Australians are favouring hybrids. We lost power for 4 days following a bushfire in '98.

I have the SPP overland ones, they are pricy though. Rival has some now as well and you could just get them powder coated in red.Took the Grennie to the land and I was finally able to get to the lakefront at the land without having to walk through the more rough area. Can anyone recommend some underbody skid plates that are not already provided by Ineos stock? I have the red powder coating already so something that would match would be nice.
And maybe a roof rack/molle rear side window covers so I can bring gas along with me next time.

Can't help with #1; but for #2 the LFD Off Road full length rack has the option for a front fairing that partially recesses a light bar. The cross bars can be placed wherever you want, including not putting any over the safari windows. For what it's worth, they can still be over the safari's if you want them to open but not come out as well (this is how I had them positioned). If you want the lightbar further back, thye have a shorter 3/4 rack as well with the lightbar specific fairing.Looking for advice:
1. Best under armor/skid plates for total coverage
2. Roof rack that doesn't block safari windows / good attachment for light bars
3. Something to help with driving off-road where tall plants/grass won't scratch the shit out of the paint when driving around.
I know the last one is silly but I don't go off-roading very often and I don't want to ruin the pain job if possible
