What did you do with your Grenadier today?

So what brand are your fog lights? And how are they switched? And the most important question is are you happy with them? They look very sharp!

I immensely like the fact that they are amber, not sickly yellow like my earlier picks have been.
We inch into the foggy season, and low-aimed fog lights are awesome to see the extents of the roadbed and traffic lane markers.
The lights are switched by EXT1 switch overhead - I can have them on even without regular headlights. It may be against the rules in some places, but I can use them to set up the camp in the dark if I need to.

Bison Gear rear shelve is a must have!!

I have a question and searched forum with no results. I saw Dirtbox Overland had Rotopax on the rear doors but haven’t found anything open the mount. I’ve seen a molle panel for the doors but his set up looked more basic (and probably cheaper lol)

I will be honest and say it was the wife's idea, I was 'allowed' the Grenadier, so I let her have the wheel cover for Christmas. I should get her this jumper in relation

6am this morning, with only 3 days to go in spring, it is warming up and already 28.8 degrees. ( 83.8 F)
On my way down to my office (the shed) to start work and greeted by thge sight of my Grenadier.
This year she is undercover in the shade compared to last year when she was out in the open all year
Going to be much better when the hot weather starts.

Temps finally down to the teens and 20’s (F) so winter wheels and snow tires went on. Since Recaro and Black Rhino are both in bankruptcy, I thought maybe I should get dodo bird seat covers??? Maybe a white rhino horn transfer/lock grip?

I will say after going from K02’s to the Blizzak LT’s, I was surprised the ride was so much quieter and smoother. “So THIS is what it’s like in a Fieldmaster . . . “. Will go back to my steelies and K02’s in the spring, though.

I feel Lynn is biting off your style Dave
Mini and Grenadier. I bet you keep the GTS4 hidden.

My preferred Porsche is the 928 S4
Neighbour 3 houses up has just built a shed to house his 3 porsches, including the 928.
His shed is only 80 SQM but it is 6 metres high with 2 lifts.
I am green with envy - the shed, not the cars, (I started my world of work at a Porsche dealer, so I have a deep-seated aversion)

On Wednesday, I drove from Mariental, Namibia, to Cape Town in South Africa. In a convoy of seven Grenadiers. Left at 5am. Arrived at 7.30pm. 1,200km. 13.5 hours.

Did you drill the bumper?

Custom Molle Panels

SITE HERE

You first mount the plate, then the molle panel. Come with two different height spacers.
Mounts in factory holes, 100% removable back to stock.
Hi - really like that dash Molle Panel behind the steering wheel.
Qu: was the original rubber panel easy to remove / can it be refitted later if needed ?
... do you have any photos of installation process ? Thanks !

No photos but it’s really easy. 100% returnable to stock.
The rubber panel has two rubber knob-like buttons that push/ insert into two holes underneath. Simple pull up and they pop out.
Then, the base plate has two toggle bolts. You push the toggles into existing holes and tighten. The top plate then screws into the bottom plate in the 4 corners.
The toggles have line attached so if remove the bolts, you can pull out the toggles…they won’t fall down into the dash.
It really was thought out well.

Test-fitted the spare-tire-mounted traction board carrier from Overland Kitted. It seems to me it can only fit on the passenger side or it will block the small rear door. As-is, with stock tires it fits two boards with one tooth of the boards just contacting the passenger side tail light at max open position. In addition, you have to replace the bottom passenger side MaxTrax mounting pin with something considerably shorter - the pin would otherwise ding the body. Sitting high on the mount, the upper passenger side mounting pin is above the body, so no risk there.

I’d hoped to carry 4 boards this way, but am worried about forgetting to retard the door from opening fully and possibly cracking the tail light. So it’ll just be 2 there for now and if I need another 2, I’ll spring for Owl’s magnet pin set-up (or wait until this becomes a dedicated off-road truck, at which point a roof rack will be available).
