What did you do with your Grenadier today?

My first drive as driver in the Grenny in close enough to six weeks today after my knee replacement.
A haircut, then day surgery to get a skin cancer removed from my arm.
Climbing up into it will be the hardest part I suspect. 😂
Don't worry, I order this up for you.

Installed the Buzz Overland Rock Sliders last weekend.
I have the Rival TC skid plate and had to loosen it to let the middle mounting point of the sliders between the chassis and the TC skid plate.
There were a couple of chassis nut threads that I had to use a thread chaser to clean them up as the bolts wouldn't go in.

Wife and daughter is so happy that they don't have to do stretches before getting in the Grenny. :D
Pics? I ordered a set with the integrated side steps and am interested in how you like them.

I put on an accessory rail for my cell phone, radio and gps. Using regular ram heads and ram mounts. Really stable.

I actually got the blue owl mount first but I did not like that mount. Can't put my finger on why not but I really didn't care for it.

I'll know in a couple of weeks if I like this or not...

I’m so confused when looking at Ram site on what to order for this set up. Would you mind letting me know what exact items you ordered ?

I ordered from Amazon. I should let you know what I'm considering order a new mount from bullet point for my cell holder with built-in wireless charging. I think I'll like that better for everyday use although I think I would prefer my ram mount for when things get shaky off pavement. Bullet points balls and arms are a bit smaller which I think will look nicer.

This is what I ordered from Amazon for RAM mount

For the mount to the gren's console:
Console mount: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CWQG2S24?tag=globalgrena0b-20
Mounting ball: 2x https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JUW5NK6?tag=globalgrena0b-20
Nuts for ball: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BY4X5XDG?tag=globalgrena0b-20
Washers for mounting ball: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GWH59P?tag=globalgrena0b-20

For cb radio mic holder:
Mounting plate with ball https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B214H68M?tag=globalgrena0b-20
Mic holder (attached to mounting plate with adhesive tape): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CD7PT9W2?tag=globalgrena0b-20
Connection arm: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005KWPJ04?tag=globalgrena0b-20

Cell phone holder
Connection arm: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005KWPJ04?tag=globalgrena0b-20

Back country gps and communication:
I have a prior generation Garmin inreach GPS / satellite communicator. Something like this: https://www.garmin.com/end-users/p/890109
I got this mount for it: https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/682318/pn/010-12825-02
This mount is compatible with the ram mount and I'll likely put this on that mount when I got out in the back country.

Depending on what I'm trying to do I'm either connecting the Garmin to my cell or to a tablet. I sometimes prefer tablet for it's larger views, let's me have a bigger zoom in on a map yet see enough of what's ahead.

Did a "mall crawler" exercise with my Grenadier this morning
Then parked the 🚙 for a 3 weeks standstill, as my wife doesn't want to drive it.

I am now in a "human body service center" for a mechanical replacement tomorrow

I hope the service will be better than Ineos ;)
Don’t forget to ask the spare parts list and a maintenance manual!!! That makes life easier

Yes, the one I got has the integrated steps.
Didn’t post pics anymore as there are a number of posts in the step slider thread.

I love the look and function and my wife and daughter are both happy they are installed.

Thank you for the breakdown!

Just finished a couple of important mods. Installed the Dissent side step/sliders and the CAtuned front bumper and Warn winch. It was plenty of work for me in the garage. Just need to connect the wiring and attach the winch cable hook. Obstacles? Bring 'em on!

Waiting on my Dissent sliders, how was the install?

Waiting on my Dissent sliders, how was the install?
Not quite as simple as the instructions implied. Installing the brackets was pretty straightforward, but the step and its top layer need to be done a certain way. You need to chase the threads in the frame to remove paint and dirt before mounting the brackets on to them. You'll need a metric tap. Getting the hardware inside the rail step was a bitch. lt was all worth a bit of frustration. Message me if you have problems during your install.

I spent the day at Owl Vans having Eibach 30mm springs and 285/75r17 KO2s installed. The small door just clears the spare with the factory rear door mount.

They were kind enough to allow me to stay. I opted for their sidesteps.
