That’s what I’ve been told on several occasions, the only deviation from this is the line about some of the options causing a delay etc in the latest email.

Fwiw. I placed my original deposit minutes after I received the email years ago and I’m in the mid 900’s to see how close you are to the front globally it’s been suggested to look at the number on your original invoice after you put the cash down. The accountants seem to have issued them in order…… allegedly.

It’s all moot to be honest, and we’re probably being chuckled at by our international friends as it only matters when you get the keys. At least we won’t have to go through batch and hold.
I think the invoice number is reservation sequence, and pre-order number is roughly production sequence. This would go along with the statement many got that early hand raiser NA builds will be a priority after summer break in Hambach, and the lower pre-orders getting Q4 build windows. It's all tough to guess until we start getting the keys as you said. Even though I am a low number, for example, mine will need to get to the West Coast, adding shipping time.

Reservation Date: November 19th, 2022
Pre-order Date: August 15th, 2023 (#14399)
Build Month: Blank

I am seeing on this Forum owners in the 9000's getting build month = Q4. I am willing to bet mine goes into Q1, perhaps late Q1.

It will then take up to 3 months to actually deliver once built for sure. So maybe I'll get mine around June perhaps. That is what I am expecting anyways. Sooner would be a bonus.

As a Toyota Corporate (Tokyo Mothership MBA alumni), I can assure you the USA market is a make or break market for essentially all manufacturers due to our unique position regarding consumer discretionary spending capacity.
I work in strategy at another OEM and this is 100% correct. American consumers are rich, like to spend money on cars, and are willing to consider new brands. Even other major markets that appear attractive at a first glance (EU, China, Japan) usually have quirks that lessen the shine.

The longer I don’t hear about a Q4 date, the more I think I’m slipping into next year…

I'll take mine the first week of April 2024 or June 2024, is that how that works? Just let them know when I would like it delivered. 👍

I would rather not be the first batch of deliveries stateside. My thoughts are let them work out the kinks, certainly there will be some with the first wave of deliveries to any new market. Giving them time to work out the kinks is what I am trying to say!

As a fellow OEM guy, it’s a pleasure to bump into you on the forum.

This is what I hoped for, but here I am in Q4.

I am ex-OEM, for a British sports car brand, and you are both correct, the USA market will be the largest market and will determine if IA is profitable.

pre ordered 3/22 nothing yet but the sit tight letter. pre orders under 9500 so build the rest of the world must have started with build 1 or 1000? that would make sense

Reservation 3/11/22
Pre-order last minute 6/30/23
Website Showing Pre-ordered 8/14/23
Estimated build month - blank
Eastern WA
Is it just random or based on what we ordered?
Base Magic Mushroom with lockers and a few other odds and ends
Mine was Feb 2022 & my pre-order says August 14th, 2023. I think is based on what extras you ordered & if they are available or not.

The pre order time is when they entered it. That's why the dates don't match when you did your part.

Our concern has been either getting the vehicle well before winter or at some point after. TBH we're happy that we don't appear to be in the 2023 Q4 club (especially if that translates to Dec. - Mar.) as we'd prefer no earlier than Spring 2024. We don't feel concerned about any bugs or minor glitches in early builds. It's just that purchasing in the middle of snow season makes additional weatherizing and rust proofing difficult. I also want to be able to scurry around under the vehicle before taking possession as I've done with every other car I've bought. You're not really welcomed into the show room to sign papers if you've just been laying in a puddle of de-icer.
