Americas US Towing Package: A Hiccup delaying delivery of the tow package (not the vehicle!).

Well since you ask ... my vehicle hitch is actually in the cargo area (initially found it behind the driver's seat). It is HEAVY!!! I picked up my "G" last weekend. I'll get a photo of the hitch tomorrow and upload if desired.
Dealer gave me mine as well. I have another dealer closer that will hopefully schedule me in for the update/install.

What does it look like. I saw this truck in Sedona a couple days ago and it had a hitch installed. I am really hoping this isn’t the actual Ineos hitch. Plus it was missing a bolt. Is this anyone on the forum? Parked at Boynton Canyon trailhead.

It's a boy!

The US hitch is the same as the RoW hitch; and that is definitely not it

I believe that is the mobility hitch that a dealer will put on for people with the understanding that it’s for bikes, wheelchair, etc.

Same - I was looking into an aftermarket set up or something just to hold the bike rack. The dealer didnt have any hitches available (w/o the wiring) and didnt even have licenseplate mounts - which hasnt been a problem, yet. lol. But they have been great on customer service - there's not much they can do to speed it up

if people knew how long it was going to take then maybe a group buy from a fabricator would be nice.
If towing was your main objective, a fabbed-up solution would be of no use since it's the electrics that are the issue. I would not want to be responsible for a trailer with no lights or turn signals.

At this point it wouldn't be worth the effort to have something built

For Southern CA guys, Rusnak told me yesterday that my vehicle, still at the port for over two weeks, will get the tow package update at the port before being sent to their dealership in Pasadena. While that may cause further delays, it means I save a days's trip to get it fixed down the road, but I don't get it for free. How long can a software update take? Doesn't even require a wrench! Let's get these things moving....

Here are photos of the hitch that is in my G.

My dealer, Red Noland in Colorado Springs, just contacted me to schedule installation next week
Nice to hear. I've just reached out to Red Noland (as have an apt next Friday to fix sticking door button) - hoping they can do the tow hitch on mine at same time. Thanks for sharing.

I am not sure what the North American receiver is going to look like when installed, but everything I’ve seen in this thread so far would be busted off before I got out of my driveway.
If you end up with a stinger hitch to extend out past the bumper and put 7000 pounds on it, that’s insane.

I am pretty sure that we are all hoping and assuming that this is what it will look like.
