tyre rotation

Success! I did all 4 corners separately and did a short drive after each. All 4 times it was at exactly 5 miles into the drive when the car recognized the new location of the tire I swapped out. Last step is to reset the cold tire pressures in the morning. đź‘Ť

Again, not the ideal process to have to follow, but I’m happy I don’t need the dealer or a fancy tool to perform a tire rotation.
Nice job! I’ll take 20 miles of driving and a little hassle with a hand jack and torque wrench any day compared to a 190 mile drive to the dealer, dealing with traffic, crappy road conditions and the inevitable chipped windshield in the process.

Ok Fellas im back. After about 200 miles the system recognized the 5 tire rotation i did allowing me to avoid a trip to the dealer!!! Very happy about this and realize it seems contrary to what some others are experiencing.

Did you do all 5 tires at the same time?

Yes, I did all five tires at the same time. However, I may have spoken too soon. Because the temps dipped here and I needed to add air to all of them. That's when I noticed the tires I was adding air to was not the one it seemed to be on the Dashboard display 🤪. This photo shows what the vehicle says the tire position is by my red notes are the actual tire location I was filling. What makes this more weird and bizarre is that i followed the other diagram here to a T so not sure how the system got this confused. But I am happy that it is at least recognizing all of them, whereas before it was not.

Gotcha. That’s too bad I was hoping it would recognize them correctly.

Just rotated my tires and included spare in rotation. Now I'm dealing with the same problem. Tires pressures are in the wrong position on the display. This is a little frustrating ..... There should be a factory solution

yep a real glitch. I've got the Autel sensors and reader but not got around to swapping the valves over yet. My next rotation is due in 2,000 miles so may well consider taking to tyre shop then and let them swap sensors over and also do the heavy lifting.

I'm miffed at the half on/off warning tpms screen which blocks out the odo and range etc.

Beware - seems as though the Mx sensors are no longer able to clone to a specific ID…. I’ve got new Mx sensors installed, but may have to swap back to original if the tire shop can’t program through the data port (which I assume they will not be able to).
