Track tie downs is oxidizing to blue after washing car

I got my grenadier back in Feb. I normally hand wash my car and use certain products. However one day I didn’t have time to hand wash my car and took it through a touch less car wash. I got just the basic service with no ceramic coating and now my track tie downs are oxidizing and turning a blue tint. There’s nothing in the manual that mentions avoiding a car wash or types of soaps to use. I took my car into the dealership and Ineos said that will not replace. Has anyone else had this same issue. I didn’t realize that washing my car was gonna be such an issue. Just disappointed that I paid extra for the track tie downs and they turned out to be cheap

Not that they are cheap, but that TFR is absurdly strong to do it's job and effects many different types of finishes. This is one of the reasons there are so many warnings about TFR on paints (for example make sure it is completely washed off, do not apply it to hot/warm surfaces, or in direct sunlight); unfortunately automatic car washes generally don't take any of these things into account and why they have so many warning signs around the property

If you read the small print on Traffic Film Remover it says not to get it in contact with aluminium or galvanised surfaces.

Don't use it on your bicycle either. I did and ruined 2 pairs of brake pads (they aren't cheap!)

I had this exact issue, I had never done anything except hand wash the vehicle, but my utility belt started turning colors. I wiped it down with WD-40 and they are back solid black in color. Now I just wipe them down weekly takes about 5 mins and they always look brand new

I will say it again - warm water only for anything but the wheels and tires!
