I pulled over to the side of the road to let traffic passed then a very lowed sound like the combination of a whining cat and a dry bearing started. Closer inspection it was coming from the driver's side (right hand drive diesel ) bumper . All temperatures appeared normal.

Welcome your thoughts .

The truck has only covered 870miles .

The whining cat description sounds like power steering pump whine. It's awful if your car has it, afaik no one has a fix for it. Some people say that vacuuming out the fluid and replacing the CHF 11S with CHF 202 helps, but I can't confirm that.

If it’s sounds metallic. Have a look underneath just above the prop shaft towards the front of the vehicle. There have been a few bowden cables reported which have come loose and scrapes against the prop shaft. It has previously been documented on here. Fix is to tie it up using cable tie or take it back to the dealer.

Quick question, does the whine get louder under load? Mine make enough noise that people ask about it when they are a passenger. It’s super noticeable when you go up a hill on the highway…

No the noise is constant. I turned the engine off and restarted but the noise returned immediately. Turned the engine off for a few minutes and the noise has stopped. It's been a hot day so I suspect from my reading it could be the auxiliary engine cooling rad. Is the fan which is making the high pitch whine.
