Come on people. Personal attacks make a bulletin board fun! I bet there is a small minority here who remember old Discoweb.

Back to subject - I'd rather have a software fix for the HVAC, but even that doesn't bother me much.
Discoweb was bad, but Pirate put hair on your chest.

I can assure you that the ADAS system has no effect on my decision to purchase the IG. I am a prospective owner and have been reading this forum continuously for the last week. I have negotiated what I consider to be a great deal on a trialmaster that is available and on the lot with every option I want. What is holding me back? The electrical issues. Specifically, the battery drain issue. I do actually travel remotely with my vehicles and cannot risk the battery dying in remote Utah. My dealer sent me pictures of the unit prior to me driving to the dealership and I noticed in one of the photos that the battery SOC was at 43% and it was charging at 4amps. I have no idea how long the car sat prior to them moving it for photos but it is enough to keep me from comfortably purchasing the vehicle and trusting it for the remote travel that I plan on doing.
I have had my IG since Jun 2024. Have had no issues with the battery at all.

Any issues with the HVAC?
I have posted this before, but will again. I have purchased two Grenadiers since May 2024, and two buddies have purchased 3 between them after this date. So out of 5 newer Grenny’s all purchased this year, none of us have had ONE single issue of any kind (other than the noise/warnings people complain about, that are easy to turn off when starting the vehicle—yes each time you start it but it literally takes seconds). I have owned MANY vehicles in the past & currently and for me to say my two Grenny’s are my favorite vehicles I have ever owned says a lot (have/had many really nice rides)! So much so I have now sold 2 of my classic rides and one newer vehicle, as I never drive anything other than swapping out the Grenny’s each day. Anyone on the fence about buying and read some of the issues, IMO those issues (other than the warning stuff) have been worked out/fixed. I’ve asked several times on this forum if anyone purchased one after May 2024 to please post if you have any issues and I have never heard any replies. Again, not talking build dates, but buy dates. I think the older builds still on the dealers lots have been fixed. My A/C’s & heater’s works perfectly, no leaks in doors/safari widows and mine have been thru a hurricane this year parked outside taking the full brunt of the wind/rain with not a single drop of water inside after, etc etc. Good luck if you decide to buy one, you will want to drive it every day!! 🙌

My buy date was 11/2024.

My HVAC definitely isn’t normal but it works. My kid pointed out that sometimes it blasts hot air when cooler air is blowing from the driver/front px vents.
I’m always driving so I haven’t been able to play around with the settings to troubleshoot.

Have you checked out & topped off the coolant levels (if needed)? This seems to have corrected a couple owners issues. Assuming you haven’t brought back to the dealership to get checked out yet, or you probably would have mentioned that. Please update us on this after you try different settings. I hadn’t heard of anyone with a buy date this new to have this type of A/C issues. Good luck & since you only had it a month or so I hope you’re enjoying the purchase so far ….👍

You are low on coolant. The dealer will remedy.

I’ll check it later today. Not sure if you read between the lines already but I left out that the hot air was coming through the 2nd row vents as mom/dad had relatively normal temp air coming out of the front row.

I really am enjoying the Gren. This is my daily and I hope to own it until the wheels fall off😜. It might be a little early to say this but this the coolest vehicle I’ve ever owned🤙🤙

Will keep you posted on the coolant level(s) and it’s effects on the HVAC

Having hot air in some of the vents means coolant level is fine.. air flow control is the problem

You were on face mode I assume? This is typical issue with the grenadier… on face mode and manual fan mode, lukewarm air come out in front while hot ass air in the rear.. it’s due to the shitty hvac.

Use automatic mode.. but don’t use it while engine is cold. the shitty hvac logic doesn’t know to suppress the fan, while engine is cold. You will get cold air blasting from all the vents, while in cold engine + auto hvac + max hot. 🤯 it’s a pos

So I don't get this behavior in the cold at all... Maybe it is because you're at max hot that it's trying to get anything through that it can

Ambient temps in the 20s or 30s, HVAC set to auto and 72°F, I get almost no fan speed until the engine is ready to produce warmth, then I get a <5 second bit of cold air (fan at what feels like 2), the flap motors start moving around for the next few seconds and then hot air enters the cabin

That’s interesting.. I have tried a couple of times engaging automatic while below the 194 threshold.. cold ass air full blast each time. Will try it some more, since you have success with the auto mode + heat.

Yes I was at max heat.. I have become indoctrinated to use max heat with the ineos hvac. Given its apparent binary temperature states. lol ineo’s “unique” semantics of what max heat means

This is what confuses me. I have tried literally every combo you can pick (heat, cold, speeds, manual/auto, recirculating, face/floor, running long time (hour) vs on/off multiple times etc etc) and cannot produce any of the issues some have discussed on here in either of my vehicles. I have 2 friends who bought their Grenadiers this year too and they have tried the same. So between 5 newly purchased Grenadiers none of us (the 2 buddies live in different states & bought theirs from different dealers) can reproduce any of these HVAC issues and trust me we all have tried. We even had a bet between us on if one could make theirs act up the other two would do something silly. I didn’t want to be one of the losers so trust me I tried like hell to make mine act up, but no luck. So it’s so weird how some have these issues and others nothing. 🤷‍♂️

We get it, your trucks are perfect. Why do you continually have to argue with people who are telling you they are having problems? Mine is either Hot!! Or Cold. The rear vents are hot when in cool, left to right isn’t even. Why is it that because dual Brent thinks his are perfect you keep demanding people explain themselves to you bud. Why can’t you accept these trucks have issues.

Anecdotes means very little in the face of much larger statistical pattern of something. Have you seen the long running threads on fked up hvac behavior? From top-down, the smoke on this issue is thick and billowing.. from where I am it is a fking wild fire.

I see the same senseless sentiments of some Mopar guy commenting “mah jeep/ram has been perfect, runs like a top!” As if to dispel industry trends on reliability for those brands.
