What kind of charging program did you use?

I hooked up a charger the other day and put it on the regular lead acid charge setting. Then I got to thinking that maybe the EFB battery that the Gren has, uses the AGM setting instead.
My charger doesn't have an EFB setting.
After a couple minutes of Google sleuthing and (gasp!) reading the owner's manual, I can't find what charge setting to use.
The manual is silent on the matter and google just says to use the proper charger for an EFB battery.

I finally unhooked the charger and put it away. I figure I'll et the car charge itself as it sees fit.
Use the normal setting. EFB do not need the higher voltage as AGM need.

My battery charge indication holds steady in the 85-90% range. I just left my rig in my driveway for a week while I was on vacation and started it up yesterday to go to work. Battery charge was still at 89%.

With a single battery system in our Gren we rarely see below 90% and that comes after sitting for a week and popping in and out of the rig a lot for maintenance or upgrades.

As for the ADAS stuff I pretty much ignore it for short trips. (Yes, it is a Mallverlander.) Start/Stop gets turned off just after start up but I generally don't bother with the speed clicky thing until I've been in the vehicle for 15 minutes or so. The ol' accelerator foot lift is starting to become second nature at this point but if Ineos gives us a permanent off button I'll use it ASAP.

Well, I’m not suggesting you’re right or wrong about the existence of the fix, but, if this is your level of suspicion, what the f**k is an email from YOU going to uncover? What, shes lying to the press but Samson the undecided buyer sends a skillfully worded email? She now cracks under the pressure of your insightful Samson like wisdom, and confesses to all she wrongly decided as a CEO it’s best to bullshit directly to her customers?

I'm sorry, what?

Are you - ok? - are you currently coherent or undergoing a medical/mental/substance crisis?

If I am reading my own post correctly - I wrote that I was told something (directly, IE, first-person) by a salesperson during a test-drive, and then I relayed an internet post that my Dad read ...

... I'm failing to see how that has anything in the world to do with an "email from ME" or whatever you just said...

Are you quite well?

And I'll say this last - at the moment I've posted this message, whether anyone likes it or not - this thread said that there was a "Fix coming in 60 days" that was posted in June.

It's December 9 2024.

The company is no longer producing vehicles, there has been no "fix", no Software Update, and when I listen to the CEO, it sure sounds like she is talking about stuff that might apply to FUTURE VEHICLES - *IF* they get built - nothing one word that would apply to Retroactive -

but REGARDLESS -

Has yours been "updated" yet?

So ...

Take your medicine bro.

A lot and I mean A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THIS FORUM. Need to take a step back. There’s so much animosity on here it’s hard to understand. Say anything even remotely against Ineos, you get brow beat. Say you’re having a problem with your truck, they take it as some personal attack. Try to have a conversation with someone having the same problem. 10 people jump down your throat.

Yes we were promised an update, no it hasn’t arrived. Yes it’s retroactive. My vehicle is at the dealership for this very issue.

Next they are building vehicles again the plant opened almost a month ago.

100% agree. I'm going end up on (shudder) fb or Reddit if people don't stop the personal attacks. I'm in a WhatsApp group of owners that I frankly am starting to enjoy more.

I'm here to share and to learn. If I'm lucky to be part of a community. Please don't destroy that by being an asshat.

Someone in this forum called me lazy for using a jiggler instead of lifting the Jerry can and holding it to the filler valve. Let's put it this way, I didn't think the comment was particularly useful in context nor did I enjoy it being directed at me.

I was one of those who you may have thought was taking it too personal and went after you, but I promise “I” wasn’t & I think you figured that out later on. On the flip side, some people on here get way too aggravated/upset when others like me say they have multiple Grenadiers and have had zero issues with either of them. I think both sides are at fault and maybe us all talking about it is helping. I have said and will continue to say I feel bad for you and others that have continued problems. You being in a loaner vehicle for so damn long is absolutely ridiculous and I definitely think they should have either swapped out vehicles for you or offered to buy the defective one back. This forum should be a place for discussion and all should feel like they belong.

As far as the speed limit warning permanent turn off update she discussed in a recent podcast, I won’t hold my breath on it. I have seen too many CEO’s say one thing about what a product will do/change/etc and then later change their mind and give a reason why it couldn’t be done. I know it’s a EV, but Elon has made many comments and had to change them on multiple times about various products. Just giving an example. She did say the change would only be for the USA market specifically, so what does that mean for Canada, Australia, the UK? I know we all have different laws but would suck if only one country benefited from any change/update and this is coming from someone who wants to be able to permanently turn off the speed limit warning! Guess we all will see in time….even if we all don’t agree on things I am glad I found this place and met so many interesting people from all over the globe!

I have blocked 3 or 4 clowns on this forum. It makes it a much nicer place.
They are probably trolling on FB and Reddit too.

Hm. Interesting..... Apparently it's not a two way street if I can still see what you write.

Not only didn't I use a jiggler on the f350 2 years ago, but then I proceeded to toss the predictable result into the washing machine. The ensuing havoc almost put me on the lookout for shezimm #4. Apparently one does not simply toss diesel/kero/jetfuel products into the washer with someone else's clothing.

Who knew?

Save a marriage, use a jiggler.

Fair Enough, please allow me to take a step back, and with no animosity, ask two simple questions:

Your Ineos Grenadier is currently at the Grenadier Dealership to have a "Software Update" - of any kind ? - and includes what I believe people are discussing here- the automatic disabling of the "Going Too Fast Alarm Sound" ?

And second - What is your source that Ineos is producing Grenadiers again and in addition to that, "they opened almost a month ago ?"

Again - I could be 101% wrong here - but having read your post, it appears to me that you're saying , your vehicle -presumably a Grenadier as this is The Ineos Forum - is currently at the Dealership undergoing a Software Update - and perhaps it could be a Regional thing, you're in Canada, and you got The Update before us Americans? And - You know that the Ineos Grenadier production is back on in Smartville, France ? Because that's both contradictory to what the CEO & The Internet have said, respectively.

Thank you in advance for your time & anticipated cooperation in this matter.

Most Respectfully

Every time I worry the world is not tough enough, Pennsylvania comes to the rescue. Several weeks ago when Penn State came out to Madison (and yes, beat the Badgers), I was on a flight back to Madison the day before the game. Bunch of Penn State fans and alumni were on the flight, as well as the Fox Sports production crew. The fighting got so bad (we were still taxiing out on the runway) that the flight attendant had to threaten to have the captain return the plane to the gate. It must be something in the Wawa hoagies - or maybe in the “wuhder”

Correction,

Plant to re start in January, that’s my bad

My truck is at the dealer for a laundry list length of problems. And is to remain with the dealer until the software is updated. As I’ve been told that should be in the coming weeks.

Come on people. Personal attacks make a bulletin board fun! I bet there is a small minority here who remember old Discoweb.

Back to subject - I'd rather have a software fix for the HVAC, but even that doesn't bother me much.
