This class-action was on the cards for a few years now. Interesting to see it finally ended up in the courts.
Wonder what will happen 🤷🏼‍♂️
My history was a new screen every 5000kms, with my last one only making 1200!
One of the main reasons for selling the vehicle, as well as never wanting to own it out of warranty 🤣
Great experience so far with Shitake in terms of screens - 15,000 km so far (9,000 of mine, as it was a demo). Have had a few stone strikes and it certainly seems more robust 🤞🏽

There we go, sorry about the extra photo - no evidence of any stone chip, started as a 4cm random crack at LHS Wiper and spread as above. Cost about 150 quid all in even with insurance at Autoglass
Does the dealership offer/sell the windshield protection plan over in your part of the world?

In my case I get windscreen cover as part of my insurance package. I pay £25 towards a chip repair as i did a few days back and £115 towards a replacement if needed.

That looks like a stress crack not an impact

Roughly the same with me through NFU and no impact on no claims

Maybe - not sure though. I was trying to gauge where most issues are occurring in a general sense.
We need someone who doesn't have Pilkington glass to shout up.

Just had mine replaced. Glass installer had to get it from Ineos. Luckily they had one available. My guess is it’s a good business to have these on hand as parts. The trim surrounding alone was over $300 according to the glass company. Fortunately I have glass coverage through insurance.

I just had the racing optics windshield protection installed on my new windshield. So far it looks great. 🙏
Is that the one that has 3 layers and you peel one layer every 6-8 months or is it the permanent one that last for years and no peeling needed? I want the permanent one but apparently they are on back order where I live so may try out the peeling one.

Was wondering who did the install and what was the cost. I looked to see who does that local to me (Sarasota/Bradenton area) and it seems like only the jeep dealerships do it. Kinda seems like a no brainer but would love to hear your thoughts now that you have it. Thanks
