A bit more done on the weekend.
I had to buy a new ladder so I could easily reach the internal peak of the roof.
Wiring for the lights and ceiling fans in, industrial 3 phase switch used to operate the simple single phase light circuit........because I had one in a box.
Double power outlet installed for washer and dryer in the corner of the not-a-kitchen.
Lisa continued on with painting
Place is a mess as we move stuff around, but such is life.

I was walking out the back door of my house and a thought came to me.
If one must have a close neighbour then let it be one with a shed and a boat.
His shed is 16M wide x 8 Metres (128 sqm) deep and mine is 10 metres wide x 15 metres (150 SQM) deep.
Both our blocks are 20 M wide x 60 Metres deep
He is a mechanic and I am an electrician.
Life is good.

I really hope you have a neighbourhood IT guy :geek:

"It’s the dead of night and Dave's Grenadier breaks down near the swamp behind Toogoom. Mozzies are biting like crazy.
Dave's other neighbour , a chemist , gets off the phone with the towing company, “they said it’s going to be at least two hours.” They all stay in the car.

After a few minutes the Chemist tells the other three, “I’m pretty sure I know what happened... the engine oil probably hadn’t been changed in a long time, became oxidized and contaminated, lost its ability to lubricate therefore completely seizing the pistons to the cylinder walls of the engine. It’ll have to be replaced.”

The Mechanic tells the others “I’m fairly certain the planetary gear set or valve body inside the transmission failed, likely due to a poor design. These cars aren’t exactly the greatest and it’s a known issue, that’s why it broke down. The transmission will have to be replaced.”

Dave says “you guys are overreacting, it’s probably just a blown fuse or relay that burned out causing the car to shut off. We can check the integrity of the fuse box, make sure there’s no excessive resistance or a short to ground that caused it to blow in the first place. I have my multimeter in the trunk. We can just swap it out and we’ll be on our way.”

The IT guy looks around and says “What if, uh... what if we just get out of the car and then get back in again?”

I now remember seeing a Penguin icecream sign in Brisbane last century and wondering about penguins in Queensland!
Now , thanks to the interwebs, I've discovered the truth.

Is this a middle-aged man euphemism @DaveB?
It is a reference to the everchanging view I have from my office in my shed.
Lost track of the number of different bird species.
In the last two weeks I have seen
  • An echidna (low tide)
  • a 2 metre (est) long goanna that at first glance looked like a crocodile wading through the tide
  • a very large carpet snake 3-4 metres long
  • a mob of about 20 kangaroos. Several times
  • 4 of the neighbours great grandchildren splashing around and chasing fish with their hands.
  • several stingrays swimming and jumping out of the water.
  • a dingo.
