Safari Roof Shades

As promised (a few weeks back) here are photos of my safari window sunshades (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0721SGH9F?tag=globalgrena0b-20 - eyeopening $8 bucks (did I spend too much?? 😂 ) A good purchase until more aftermarket options show up - goal is not to block the sun but filter its intensity thru the windows. 17"x14" as squarely positioned as possible.

Luckily sun in Scotland is not something we worry about😉

I tried some Amazon shades. They did okay once flattened out and they stayed secure with the suctions cups holding them to glass. However, if you do want to pop open safari shade it's not convenient. I ditched them last week and just went and had the safari windows tinted with dark 5% ceramic limo tint. Keeps the heat and direct sun minimized and safari windows still easily usable if you want to open them.

Question, and not being snarky, why not tint the windows?

I bought and use the shades from Bob at Overland Gear Guy. They are woolen for some insulation,
and they are great.

Hi everyone, I wanted to follow-up on my experience with Snap Shades and explain that I do not believe they should be trusted and you should be incredibly careful when purchasing from them.

You can read above that I was not very happy with the shades, which, not surprisingly, left me grumpy. The more salient point here is their website described the Safari shades to "Retain full functionality of car windows when stationary with Snap Shades installed. Car windows can be open partially for ventilation when driving." Now I'm not a lawyer, but it sure sounds like I should be able to open and close my windows without having the remove the shade. Per my experience and customers service, the shades cannot be in place while opening or closing the window. Following my complaint, they seem to have removed this description from the product page.

Where Snap Shades becomes malicious is their refusal to refund the original shipping cost or pay for return shipping for a product that they know they misrepresented.

I can forgive a company for offering something that maybe isn't their best designed product, and I can even look the other way when they say something incorrect, but then take it back without issue. However, Snap Shades goes above and beyond to say it's my responsibility to pay for their poor behavior. That's a lifetime strike from me, and I hope you feel the same.
