ROOF RACKS

Given their Toyota rack lead times the trucks may qualify for classic license plates by the time they get into the hands of customers...

But in an honest answer, no, no mention.
The Gobi rack on my 200 took about 3X as long to receive as advertised

I hope someone comes out with something along those lines, I really love the look of the tubular roof racks.
I do as well. However, the factory Rhino rack is my first, modern, platform rack and I really like it - even better than my tubular LR racks. Utility and the fully accessible flat platform is great.

And that Ineos supplied Rhino rack although heavy is super strong. We regularly carried well over 200kg on there on some very rough and corrugated tracks on our African tour.

If I changed my mind and went back to a full rack from the rino load bars, I'd get the rino rack. The mounting system ties into the rails like gussets and makes the whole system stronger not weaker. There's nothing attractive or delicate about it, but, if you really need a roof rack, get one you can have a party on.

Can anybody suggest what tee bolts to use in the Grenadier Rhino Cross Bars and in the tracks on the sides and in the cargo floor for the Grenadier.
Thanks Jeff

I've used a couple depending on what is being attached.

So the Amazon tee track bolts with eye hooks will fit into the rhino rack tracks. Their bases seem too wide to fit into the tracks.

I should add that the Flatdog Rax that I have had for a year now has been faultless, its way lighter than the Rhino one and has been plenty robust enough, it hasn’t worked lose in any way and it hasn’t bent the gutters.
Its cheaper than most too, they also do bars..

I have also sourced Rhino spare part kits, essentially the t-fasteners for a complete bracket, to mount my homemade light bracket.

These are the perfect tee shaped track bolts for sliding into the Rhino Cross Bars for bolting stuff down to.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Just purchased one of these, how is it going for you? Do you remove it ever when not using it?
I have one, as good as any I suspect. Good fit and finish. Would have preferred something lower like Leitner but pricing shipped to Aus was up there. I paid around $1500 delivered for the Rola with some discounts and very happy with that. I will need to remove it when garaging however.

$1500 delivered was a good price, just bought for $1700 so not too bad. I want to remove it after camping trips, so i have installed a winch in the ceiling as I have quite a bit of space. Used this winch with my last vehicle and worked well.

I like the aesthetics of the Owl 3/4 roof rack the best so far. Does anyone have one? I’m wondering how fiddly it is to find/attach lights and other stuff and its compatibility with existing side storage solutions

The Leitner rack on the other hand looks so easy to mount stuff to as well as having a whole side storage system.

Rola quote $1890. Where did you get yours?
