Hello everyone;) Small question, has anyone already tried to dismantle the door panel or do you know what colours the cables from the speakers have? I would like to improve my sound system a little, I find the originals terrible... In the B column you would also have to get to the cables without dismantling the door panel? I just want to install a mini subwoofer under the driver's seat, the space should be enough;) If this question has already been asked, I apologise;)

Too bad, does no one really have any idea what colours the cables have? ;(

Not on my priority list for several reasons
  • I am almost deaf from my left ear :(
  • My partner says that I am deaf from both, but that's only when she speaks :devilish:
  • I love to listen to music, but the HIFI quality is therefore less important for me :)

I always say to my wife that she has to let me know when she is going to say something I need to hear

Oh, that doesn't sound good...;( Unfortunately, I don't dare to dismantle the door panel, because I can't stand it if another clip is missing and everything rattles. I looked at the cables that go into the door, but of course they do not comply with the ISO standard🤣

I'm not sure if any one has actually replaced the speakers at this point; I would suggest spending 5-10 minutes to pop each of the door panels off and perform a polarity test directly at the speakers. The clips that hold the door panel on are fairly universal, thus if you break one or a few, finding a generic replacement should be only an Amazon order away.

Problem solved😅 Thank you @Jean Mercier for your preparatory work with the cables from the electricity, that made things easier;)

Did you get to the head unit? Was there a port for a sub? Any other ports?
Based on the photos I'm assuming he grabbed speaker connections for the rear door from the B-pillar

Rear dashcam fitted today. Technician showed me what he said was impressive build structure behind the rear door trim. Much stronger than LR
Where was it fitted on the exterior? I heard the factory one is not centered and it can be slightly difficult to use. Thanks.

Apologies about digging up this thread again, but has anyone actually taken the door panels off yet? Looking to replace the speakers and would like to have a look before ordering anything.
For the front driver side I've found 3 bolts so far - 1 inside the interior door handle, one underneath and one the edge. Can't seem to see any more but its not lifting off that easily and am a bit wary or ripping anything out accidentally on a car that's been in my possession for less than 24 hours....
