What type of plastic is the raised air intake made of? Mine was damaged going through a car wash. The tube cracked at the seam and I'm looking for an adhesive that can fuse the plastic together. Any ideas? Thank you.

Many (most) plastic air intakes are ABS or LDPE. But please check with the dealer!!! In either case try the Permabond products of you can get it.

It is made from polypropylene, which means bonding is not really possible, but welding.
Is it actually Polyprop??? That is one of the crappiest materials to use for external plastics - weak, low flexural strength, prone to cracking, and even with modified additives it is crap in UV. Surely, they didn't make this intake from PP... then again, it's the cheapest plastic there is.

I used Stick Fast cyanoacrylate. Seems to work. I'll keep the old adapter as a backup. Meanwhile, I purchased a new one from my dealer. Total cost: $46.68

Surely, they did. Otherwise i would not claim.

I started hearing a noise coming from the RAI area. Turned out it was separated a bit where it attaches on the quarter panel. A few clips broke and were replaced. All good so far.
