I have been in touch with Eddy from Suma Performance (thanks to @Norb-TX for bringing them up in the other thread). They make aftermarket convex side mirror replacements to reduce blind spots. This would replace the mirror only, you keep the factory housing. They also offer a version with blue tint that reduces glare. Eddy stated if there is enough interest, they would make them for the Grenadier. He has not yet defined "enough interest". Judging by the cost of the Jeep JL, it appears it would be around $200 for the pair.

I tried to make a poll, but I guess it has not been turned on for me yet. So if you will respond to this thread, I will let Eddy know how many people are interested and see if that is enough for them to make the mirrors.

Thanks.

One issue i have with my mirrors is headlights behind me at night. I am spoiled and have dimming mirrors on my other vehicles. Any experience driving with these at night as far as headlights behind you?

No issues, they seem better than stock on that to me. Maybe it's the extra curvature on the glass but that is my subjective opinion. I've never had autodimming side mirrors only the reverse mirror in the dash. With wolfbox that is no longer any problem either.

I installed the Suma gray mirrors and they are way too dark with my tint (35%). Even my wife commented on it. Does anyone know if the blue mirrors are lighter?

Below are customer feedback and Suma Performance comments from the website's feedback section regarding which tint is darker/lighter.

I am actually seeing contradicting statements from other reviews and also chatgpt. Another reviewer said the blue is the way to because the grey is darker. Also, chatgpt says the blue is lighter. I am asking Suma to confirm through email, i will update here when i get a response.

Not for me. Unless the clown behind me is driving with their high beams. I have also found that not all auto diming mirrors are the same or good. Most have been good but my 2010 Expedition was so sensitive to light that the rearview mirror would dim to the point that I could only see 2 white dots and nothing else.

Installed the other day. It was pretty easy….couple minutes per side.

Mine did not come with pig tails but if you turn the whole housing so it faces you, it makes access and working with the short wires much easier.

A plastic trim tool also helps a lot vs a metal screw driver😂

I wish the mirror would adjust further out. The mirror motor is maxed out and I still see too much of the Gren vs the lane next to me.
