Waiting for Amp research to release a Grenadier version
Did the same, however was told I had to buy a minimum of 10 pcs. Two others responded saying they would only sell to retailers.I contacted through Alibaba.com then switched over to whatsapp.
Summer Auto Parts is the company building them. Be cautious of others who are simply re-labeling and selling for more.
If you PM me I can share Quinta’s WhatsApp number she is the sales person for the company.
I asked for installation instructions but they were away for Chinese new year. I believe they plug into the OBD2 port to observe door open/close events with an additional 12v lead to the batts.
They added a third motor. I just got them and am about to install.Have seen another set that has 3 brackets, the wring connects to the onboard CAN for command to the motor. much more sturdier looking. With these 2 brackets so far apart, there most probably will be an issue with the side step keeping level, as the motor is at one far end! This has been my experience.
Did you get them installed? What are your thoughts on them? I have been looking at these and now that I see you had the third motor I am more interested for sure. They added a third motor. I just got them and am about to install. View attachment 7847567
Installing them tomorrow. Will post a follow up.Did you get them installed? What are your thoughts on them? I have been looking at these and now that I see you had the third motor I am more interested for sure.
Mind if I inquire whom / how you ordered from? I setup an account in Alibaba, however nearly every response wants me to be either a retailer or buy 10-30 steps.I got mine on Friday. Will try to get them installed this week View attachment 7847561
Thank you. I emailed Summer Auto with the link provided. will keep you posted.Email them directly: summer@summerautopart.com. I didn’t go through the website. Shipping was fast, got it 3 days.
Could you please post up a copy of the fitting instructions (as bad as they may be)OK, got them installed. They work fine, step is lower and easier to climb in to seat now. Wiring harness threaded behind ODB port, well concealed. The motors are reasonably tucked under. This is not an easy install and the supplied instruction manual is very rudimentary, they need to improve that. Overall am please with how it turned out.

Thanks in advance.
Did the same. I am waiting on the updated version.Placed order then got an email about a new upgraded version being available. No details of what the change is. Will keep you posted.
Very Good questions indeed, that's where I'm at right about now. Not much help from Summer. Will keep you all up to date. (I plan on taking lots of photos)A couple questions if you don't mind. Regarding installation, how do the brackets bolt to the frame/chassis? Do you have to remove some plugs and fish the L-shaped bolts up into the chassis? If so, are there any concerns regarding water intrusion (especially in the winter with salt on the roads)?
