Possible Side Mirror Replacement to reduce Blind Spot - Please respond if interested

I have been in touch with Eddy from Suma Performance (thanks to @Norb-TX for bringing them up in the other thread). They make aftermarket convex side mirror replacements to reduce blind spots. This would replace the mirror only, you keep the factory housing. They also offer a version with blue tint that reduces glare. Eddy stated if there is enough interest, they would make them for the Grenadier. He has not yet defined "enough interest". Judging by the cost of the Jeep JL, it appears it would be around $200 for the pair.

I tried to make a poll, but I guess it has not been turned on for me yet. So if you will respond to this thread, I will let Eddy know how many people are interested and see if that is enough for them to make the mirrors.

The mirrors are suppose to come with pigtails... I installed the passenger mirror not knowing it should have come with pigtails, my wires were short and I had to take the suma mirror off after installing because it seemed like it was restricted movement from the incorrect terminal orientation. Taking it off was 1000x harder than stock and it broke two teeth and SUMA is refusing to give me a new mirror, "the broken taps doesn't impact installation". They are sending me the pigtails. This company is not customer focused, not impressed. I'd honestly rather just have my money back, than been waiting 3 weeks for a response to my email and then refusing to replace a mirror that broke because they made the mirror wrong and didn't include the pigtails.

I contacted them a couple of days ago regarding pigtails. No response as yet.
Would also agree that Suma mirrors seem more firmly affixed.

I ordered grey mirrors. The box said grey mirrors. The mirrors inside were blue as can be. My wife agreed they are blue. I sent them pictures showing they are blue. I admit it is difficult to get a picture showing the color of a mirror, but it looked obvious to me. They responded that it's grey and closed the matter. Absolute gaslighting, so yeah, I'd say they aren't terribly worried about customer satisfaction.

I ordered this product, but I am having second thoughts about dealing with a company who is not willing to stand behind their product and respond to customers who have questions and issues. I have to give this some thought, but I might cancel my order and just deal with the mirrors as they are. Why would we support a company who behaves like this?

I bought these stick on blind spot mirrors to use while deciding if I wanted to order these total mirror replacements. I actually tried the cheap plastic ones but switched to these in the link since they are glass.

I actually like having both the actual distance and the wide angle distorted distance in the mirrors. It has gotten 2nd nature to use the blind spot before changing lanes, etc. but also have actual in peripheral vision.

I am just going to stay with this setup, especially with the poor customer service.

Just now received a reply from Eddy at Suma, apologising for lack of pigtails in the package and about to post them to me.

I got my pigtails in today. Sums has still been resistant to replace the broken mirror, but said if I had issues after install they "would" replace. I pointed out that the two broken teeth could really affect an off-road vehicle and cause vibration and make it not be secure. We will see after it gets installed and get some miles on it.

I got mine installed today.
I know there was a writeup but i figure i'll add to it.
Super easy install.

1) i used a flathead screw driver in the outer bottom corner to open up the glass a bit

once it opened up a bit i used my fingers along the outer edge to pop off the glass. Be gentle and pry carefully with your fingers and it will pop out. Its plastic and will bend a bit.

Remove the pigtails and attach the pigtails from the suma mirror to the wires. The polarity doesn't matter (you can connect either to them). I used some electrical tape around them since the pigtails aren't insulated and they could touch metal.

I tucked in the excess wire in the opening that the wire was routed through.
Then position the glass on top of the receptable and push in once you feel it landing in place. You should hear a couple of clicks. Gently push in all around the center of the mirror until its firmly in place. Logo is down on the bottom of the mirror.
The motor may move the mirror around a bit as you push. spread out your fingers and push over the base of the motor to make sure you get all sides in.

I can now see the lane next to mine, prior all i saw was my water tank and my jerry cans.

I'm very happy with these mirrors. Solid glass and the grayed effect is just perfect for me.
Highly recommended.

I had a pair of these on a 5th gen 4runner and they were great! I would definitely take a pair for the Ineos.

I have the grey set. Wasn’t sent w/the pigtails. Installed them and wasnt happy with them. Installed the WolfBox and rather have only 1 mirror with distortion than all my mirrors.

Those are the Suma mirrors (pause the video at 1 minute and you can see the branding), Owl is acting as a reseller. They certainly have better customer service so if I didn't already have mine, I would order from Owl rather than Suma.

I’m sorry if I missed it but aside from aesthetics, is there a performance difference between the blue and gray?

According to a response I received on YT, the color is aesthetics as far as they (Owl) know.

The gray is described as slightly darker than OEM. I went with blue just to be different. We’ll see in a few days if that was the right call

Just got mine and installed in under 10 mins. My colour is grey but once they are on you don’t really notice. They do make a big difference to the filed of view, I had two ugly stick on convex mirrors on the original ones just to make it safe. Can’t believe INEOS with all their testing thought the originals were ok, and no need for them now. The timelines and communication from the company was as others have noted interesting. Ordered in October, they said November when I contacted them, then when I checked shipping status they said all were sent to previous orders and they wouldn’t be in again till January which I wasn’t massively pleased with and then they arrived 9th December which I am not complaining about, but it does seem a bit chaotic. But they are here, they are easy to install and make a big difference so all good.

I got gray, I live in California and I reasoned that it may help with strong sun.
So far it's working out well. I'm 1,000 miles in with them and very happy.
