Good Morning . I just received the Owl rock sliders and Rosen visors that I ordered on Monday. Thank you Owl. Small issue, do the rock sliders come with hardware for the install?
That was a mistake. We added some folks to shipping and some sets of sidesteps went out without the hardware. We have shipped that missing hardware out. If you did not get an update please email customer support

Any news yet? I was hoping to get some goodies before Christmas but have still not heard anything more.
Bobby, We are showing in our system that all orders to Australia have been delivered, except for two that are in transit. What is your order number?

Hi owl,

I'm interested in getting the hidden lightbar.

Is there an option for the lightbar that gets me amber or yellow drl?
I prefer the elite version as I would like to yellow light for driving in snow but it's not clear to me if you get drl and if you get amber in the drl.
Can you confirm if this is possible?

I went on the triple-r website and it looks to me like I want to have the functionality in the 24" lightbar. But that doesn't look like it's available in the 18", any chance you can chat to triple R and see if they can add capabilities to the 18" lightbar?

Any guidance on best way to route the intermittent button wire into the cabin?

Can anyone who has received the visor give a quick review. $400 is pricey. Does it seem like glorified window tint, or is it slick enough to justify a real premium? Of course it's not magic, but I'd hope they're pretty darn cool for the price.

I did this mod in February and well worth it. If I did not have them I still wouldn't be using my stock mirrors because the drivers side blocks my Wolfbox mirror. If I waited I probably would have bought the Owl ones. I am still considering moving my Rosen's to my Defender and getting the Owls ones.

There isn't an Amber DRL but you can set the lightbar up to be amber when turned on. The Elite + has both Amber and Clear options when turned on

The Rosen Visors are all machined aluminum and made in America. All of the many small machined parts and anodizing etc get very expensive. It isn't for everyone but we get a lot of positive feedback on them

It’s pricy sure, especially since I didn’t need the passenger and it just sits in the box, and women prefer mirrors.

But, height handicapped, and this permits a full 1” more vision at the top of the windscreen because it can be swept up to the left. If I was a sub 6’ midget I wouldn’t need that benefit and I wouldn’t get it unless they came in singles not pairs.

When In use, it is nice to not have to change to scrip sunglasses.

Wouldn't that blind other drivers if I used that option as a drl?
The triple R website suggests that the yellow light is 1/3 or the output vs the white and that they are angled down. What is your opinion, are they very blinding if you have someone driving towards you with the yellow light active?

We only sell the Rosen visors made specifically for Grenadiers. If you purchased “universal” visors it would have been from someone else. You would need to process a return with them and then order the Grenadier visors from us
@Borg54 (Owl Outdoor) Mine did come from you and are the exact ones you sell.

What I’m referring to is a picture post on page 1 from @Dso715 of this thread showing the shield with no notch. Looking at the photo it also clearly shows the “Owl” laser etched logo indicating it came from Owl. While I generally like the visor I don’t see the point of that oversized notch and find quite often the sun glaring thru that point. Picture for reference from pg 1

First pic is the “no notch” and second is mine with the giant “notch”.

Edited to add: looking at Dso715’s it appears it may have been cut down.

I didn't see it until i zoomed in on the original pic the way you did it. Good catch. The notch is present in both pictures.

@Phred @parb What I’m referring to is the “extra” giant notch to the left and below the obvious small one. I’m told it’s for articulation clearance however cannot figure out how it actually would interfere with anything in purposeful use. My issue is that with that giant extra notch it allows the sun to hit you straight in the eyes when in line. Kind of defeats the purpose of a “sun” shield. Don’t get me wrong, I really like the Owl/Rosen offering, I just see that after using it now for 4-6 weeks that extra notch is a design fault that serves no real use purpose.

If Owl can show the need for the giant sun letting past notch then I will stand corrected and apologize for ever bringing it up. Otherwise it should be noted as product improvement feedback. In my calls to Rosen they point me to Owl for any issues. My calls to owl were never returned

Yes, I do now also see the same notch in the picture I referenced.

I'm not sure what the purpose is of that notch. I haven't yet installed mine, they arrived while i was travelling. I'm planning to install mine this weekend. I too would be annoyed if there is a gap without any meaningful function in the visors that let the sun in to blind you.

You would not want the lightbar on while on road. I was simply mentioning that you can use it in full brightness in clear or amber. DRL is only amber

The notch is needed so the visor can articulate down. One of the major advantages of the Rosen visors is that you can move them down the windows to block sun low on the horizon. If that notch wasn't there the visor would hit the arm and not articulate.
