Well you can get the coloured bolts in any colour, in titanium , at any bike shop.
That's a start 😀
🤣
I think I have plenty on my vintage K2 Razorback Team that I spent far too much money on in an earlier before children life! 🤣
Might have to do some “cannibalisation” as we say in military mechanics.

Not too bad! @ColoradoMike - one upgrade at a time, right?!?! 😝 And, for those safety conscious people on the forum, we DID go out and crash test it just to be sure it was completely safe… (picture). It passed! - Mark
I like the look! Ohhhhhnooooo….saw a bit of trail damage! I’ll ring ya tonight to chat!

I think it's an upgrade, the plastic handle felt like it was going to break off, particularly the hood release.

My OEM Hood Release lever works OK, but is loose and has a lot of ‘play’. Is yours that way also?

It was, which is why this is an upgrade to me. The Owl lever helps in two ways, the lever is thicker closes the distance to the wall of the vehicle and uses a stainless shim that tightens up the assembly. Worth it.

Replacing the lever has nothing to do with 'play' in the cable release mechanism. There's always some in all hood releases, and whatever lever you have makes no difference.

You might have missed the point about eliminating much of the side to side play. It was a worthwile improvement for me.

I trust the engineers at Magna to design a hood release that will last me 1millllion miles. If you are having a problem with the stock part then maybe you should just sell your Grenadier, it's clearly not the vehicle for you.

Sorry, had to!!! 😂

Let me explain this as an Austrian Engineer. The Engineer spec'd a billet piece for $45 made in Hambach by union hands. The design team settled on a cast lever for $4.50 made in wherever. The bean counter insisted on a $.45 plastic lever made in China.

if a vague plastic feeling lever made in China is your thing, I celebrate you and appreciate you for your ability to settle.

lol. It's a plastic handle, and Owl doesn't change the mechanism. It doesn't require the force necessary to bend anything to open the door. The difference is in your head. I'd rather grab the plastic when it's 15f.
