Thanks for your patience, here is the 3d print file for the overhead switch guard. In the movie, you see how it works and how satisfying it clicks when opened and closed.
The switchguard consists of two parts designed to be 3d printed. Use two M2 by 10mm screws to hold them together.

The best print orientation is seen in the image. I recommend using PET (PETG, PETGHF) but it will also work in PLA as print material. It is designed so you don't need print support.

Assembly is easy.
1) Start by clipping the larger part on the U-shaped metal rod.
2) Leave the clip in the open position to insert the smaller part.
3) Fix it with M2x10mm screws.

Krampus aside, when do you think it would be necessary to lock on/off the switches?

If (in theory) you have something plugged in that is not street-legal but comes in handy when off roads. Then one might want to double-check that it does not launch when it shouldn't.

I will also protect the PWR switch that potentially could drain my battery overnight. The switchguard will give me a second layer of security here.

In keeping with this same theme, has anyone used a meter to check for parasitic draw with the PWR button on?

Will this prevent the switches (circuit breakers) from tripping in an overload situation ? Could potentially hold on a faulty circuit. I know when I was setting up my winch I managed to trip the circuit breaker.
