On the Road - Initial Thoughts

20,000km service interval. That’s seems a lot especially on the first service. I’ll be looking at 10,000miles /16k km max service interval for my Grenadier especially for first service or heavy off road use.
If they are using the BMW LL12 Spec oil then it seems in line with what BMW do with the B57 in the X5,6,7 etc.

That said I’ll be doing my own at 5k after “wear-in”. I figure BMW/INEOS are concerned with the engine getting through warranty period whereas mine is getting the vehicle up to half a million kilometres over ten to fifteen years.

My downloaded owners manual refers / shows a QR Code for the scheduled maintenance periods. Unfortunately this is no longer functioning, and I assume was disabled when they deleted the OM from the website.

Certainly a good choice for the first service!

This is, I hope, a long life vehicle for me so I intend to change the oil and it's filter at 6 months or max 2,500 miles. Perhaps sooner on the mileage front. Can only be a good thing. Then again at 12 months along with the rest of the first schedule.

I agree - an extra early oil and filter change for me - may do it myself after 1500 miles - then once a year will be fine.

Have any deliveries (not including Ingemar) had the integrated winch fitted?
