New optional petrol fuel filter

Just recently I noticed that INEOS is offering an optional petrol fuel filter. Does anyone know more details? Particle size, flow rate, mounting position? INEOS is asking for 200€ (175 GBP), so it is not a cheap thing.

From what I've heard, this will not be an available accessory/option for NA vehicles and is primarily intended for vehicles that will see prolonged (or only) use in poor fuel quality areas (which, North America is not considered to be)

It was available on UK configuration last time I looked. I thought our fuel was of a decent quality but then we do seem to get a few stories of supermarket fuel stations having water in the fuel and damaging cars. It must be an assumption that to cope with the low mpg the only way we can afford to run the truck in UK is to risk using only supermarket fuel

You can order it in Germany. And while we might have a lot of problems here, the fuel quality is none of them.

Is it the fuel/water spectator that comes standard on the AU spec diesel models? Information on that filter is bit of a mystery, but some information is posted here.
