Hello all. I live in Nashville, TN and just drove past our new Ineos Grenadier dealership two weeks ago. Never really thought seriously about them since Atlanta was the closest dealership. Currently driving a 2024 Toyota Landcrusier but considering making the switch. I drove FJ Cruisers the last 15 years and decided to upgrade but am finding the new LC to be a bit too refined for my taste. Don't get me wrong. It is a great rig but I am not liking it like I thought I would. Anyone else make the switch from LC 250 to Grenadier?
Looking at a base model that I can modestly build out. Will mostly be used for commuting but will see some offroad activity as well. The dealership is currently offering new buyers a deal where you purchase $2000 worth of accessories and you get another $2000 on the house. Sounds like a good deal but I dont really like their rock rails. Prefer the rock rail/step combo. The ladder has no grip on the steps. etc. Just trying to decide what to do.
Also, What are the largest tires you can fit without lifting? 285's? Im sure that is somewhere on the forum.
Thanks and look forward to learning more from everyone.

Well I never thought about the Grenadier until my wife saw one here in Motor City Colorado Springs while waiting to pick up our Tesla. Within a WEEK of seeing it and taking two LONG test drives I was sold! Fortunately for us there was one that was optioned the way we wanted with one exception that I will mention later.
Ours is a Fieldmaster in Magic Mushroom that had every option we wanted. We did not need a winch but there was one that fit the bill on the lot but did not have a tow package on it so we passed.
Dual Batteries comment....not sure we would need the factory setup and figured if we ended up needing it we could do something better on our own based on our needs in the future. Ours does NOT have this.
We do have the full electrical on the roof and soon we will be adding some things such as HAM radio setup, lighting, and MAYBE in the future some Starlink stuff....glad to know we have the options readily available.
Triple Lockers IMO are a must for us. We do TONS of rock crawling and off road adventures here in the Rockies. I haven't had the NEED to utilize all of the lockers but have used them for fun and it makes driving the Grenadier seem like cheating in places.
I did not like ANY of the Dealer added options such as the Rhino rack, table, steps....so we purchased them after the fact and could not be happier. Still waiting on our White Knuckle rock sliders which should come this month. The roof rack we went with was the Leitner Designs 3/4 rack as we have the Safari windows. Love the rack and the Safari windows that IMO are a must have for us.
As far as the rear ladder...you can always apply textured grip tape to the rails which we will be doing sometime in the future.
Now the ONE Thing that we do not like is the "Cigarette package"....since we purchased off of the lot, we elected to simply go with it. The issue I have is that I cannot plug a normal 12V plug in there to achieve power. I will have to fix this in the future for running some accessories I would like to run.
Other than that we absolutely LOVE the Grenadier!
You SHOULD definitely do a test drive or two and see how it fits your needs.
As far as wheels and tires go...that is an entirely different subject. We have the KO2's with the 18" stock alloy wheels. Thus far, I haven't encountered an issue with them or the clearance but on a few occasions I have wanted just a TAD bit more clearance. Nothing that was insurmountable picking a different line but would make life just a tad bit easier. I tend to stay away from lifting a vehicle unless I encounter the reason to do so. Having owned multiple 4x4 vehicles from Jeeps to Tacomas I have only lifted my '93 YJ because it was fun to do the wrenching on it but it did sacrifice some highway stability.
Good luck with your research and if you have any other questions let me know, I will do my best to help!
Mike
