My '19 R1250RT, which I traded in for the above '21:

My wife and I stopped in Nogales, AZ for "Finitos", which is similar to an Italian ice, but more Mexican flavors, like Mango Chamoy.

Snow pics were on a trip near Flagstaff, AZ in March of '16.

Here I have mounted a backpack, which looks a bit like the old fashioned racing seats.

The number plate was not chosen randomly. I live in the district of "Dieburg" which determines the first two letters "DI". And as it's a Diesel, finally, and two additional letters I could chose, the number plate was mandatory. I bought it new in 2015.

From a trip to the Swiss Jura. I was out for camping for some days.

Here I have mounted my custom made topcase. The Diesel forum members call it "the pizzabox". Yes, it's not a designers masterpiece on that machine, but it's top notch quality and very useful on tours.

A rest on the "Route des Crêtes" in Alsace.

Some wondering people on the Grand Ballon, Alsace.

A few more ...

I had a campfire every night. Some baguette, cheese and red wine was the royal meal for me. Through the bushes you could see and hear the Doubs, a river (here still a creek) that crosses the whole region.

The Swiss Jura is a fantastic landscape. You have mountains, rivers, canyons and caves everywhere, not to forget the roads. And they have not only landscape to offer.
It's really worth a visit.

On my way home I drove the left side of the Rhine, no Autobahn. Lunchtime.

Another short rest in the "Schwarzwald", a typical scenery of that region.

I understand you very well. :)

But be aware that it has ony 12 HP. That's enough for a Vmax of 100 Km/h, plus/minus some wind. But believe me: It's enough for this kind of travelling. I didn't drive my BMW R1150 GS since I bought this motorbike. It's light, takes only 2.1 liters / 100 Km and is easy to repair. The sound and the character of the motor is unmatched. I feels just good.

Sometimes there are well preserved specimens on https://ebay-kleinanzeigen.de.
