As I keep reading about driveshaft failures associated with 2.5" lifts, I wonder... are there any comparable ones at 1.5" or so? It is said that the Eibach improved ride quality.

I just want to fit some larger sidewall tires without rubbing.

According to Buzz Overland, 30mm won't affect the driveshafts. Thats about and inch and quarter.

Go up a size in tires first and see how it goes before committing to lift springs would be a safe strategy. If it’s purely for looks then have at it just know it might come with some reliability compromises down the road as can happen with some modifications.

Eibach has 1.7” front springs and shadowmarq has a spacer about same. Seems torn boot failures have been installation errors letting driveline hang. Lifts are just changing where you’re riding in the current usable travel range. That said higher lifts put you at those higher angles so don’t be surprised if your CV needs attention. Rezza? CV swaps have worked well for fixing torn boot or failure.
Everything I’ve read indicates 33 or 34’s fit fine without rubbing??
My 255/80 33.0” don’t rub and know from folks here the 255/85 about 34.5” don’t rub on stock steel wheels. Wider tires might need different wheels but think most are getting along fine w/o rubbing.
