Leaking Safari Roof and Door Seals Flooding The Car And other Leaks and Problems

unless I am just not seeing them I do not see a TSB for the AC drips.

This one, I think.

Exactly, they've had that information at the dealer level for quite some time, no need for them to call up to Ineos for an answer

Tonight we had 32 liters of rain. And for the first time i had the "door seals flooding" experience with the driver's door, and only that door. Apparently the new seals are not always doing their job as intended and that is disappointing. :(
At least the safari windows or anything else hasn't leaked yet. 🤞 that it stays like this.

I read that and didn’t join the dots.

The AC issue is drips (small quantities) when running air in high humidity results in occasional drips coming from the floor air outlets landing on the floor mats. Maybe a teaspoon full over a couple of hours or so.

I’d be interested to learn if this is the fix for that. Seems pretty extreme if it is. Note: this TSB says it is for "Instrument Panel Drain Hose – Water Ingress" which does not seem to be this issue.

Note: this is not a weather related issue and only occurs when the AC is on. It also affects both footwells.

Back to the thread on the leaking from the door seals and the fix my dealer did (replacing both front door seals and making sure they were aligned correctly) seems to be supported by this technical service bulletin. I wonder if they even knew how to find this as they never mentioned it to me at all.

I would wave this at your dealers if you have this issue.

Still does not address the water flowing into the door shut/jam as covered in this thread with my videos etc.

This has happened twice so far... After a storm, I opened the 70% rear door and water streamed from the top of the glass. Trying to figure out where it's coming from. The rubber bung at the top edge of the door is firmly in place.

Adding this technical service bulletin to this comment as there appears to be a fix for it. This is water getting in the rear 70% door window.

Hey guys I’m not sure this tech report refers to the rear door water leakage issue that I also have.
The report clearly states this refers to leakage down the rear SIDE window.
Not sure if I’m correct here but this is how I interpreted the issue as described.

I think you might be right. I missed that nuance.

I wish they put images in the TSB as finding what they're exactly referring to is a PITA. Given the fix time is 0.1 hr I'd like to know what this "roof bar cover" is.

I think that is the outside BAR above the side cargo windows. My independent mechanic said that “behind” the place cover is a hole in the roof that would allow water to drip in. I’ll find out more detail tomorrow.

UPDATE May 21st:

Good news and bad news. Isn't that always the way!

We just had a short but heavy downpour. No water ingress all and bone dry in the door shuts/jams.

BUT, as I went to close the drivers door it would not close. I looked down and the brand new door seal has "delaminated" and come away all along the bottom of the door. I am starting to wonder if the Texas heat is just too much.

I stuck it back as the seal still had tack, but alignment and security will be compromised. I am not sure it will stay put. I have alerted the dealer as I intend to be away for 10 days from this weekend and it's unlikely they'll be able to replace it again this week.

The adhesion on the seal just seems to be feeble at best.

More as this saga continues...

Mine is doing exactly that, more coming unstuck every day. I can assure you that it isn't the heat (although the sun shine a little bit yesterday)

Dealer is having the car back after a road trip I am taking next week. He wants to try and "glue" the new seal to prevent it delaminating (fancy word for shit glue not working).

Maybe they forgot to use alcohol wipes to clean the area first.

According to the TSB, if less than 12 cm (that's about 5") they should glue it, longer then the seal needs to be replaced.
