I can't take the f*cking TRAIN HORN any longer!!!!! Aaarrgghh.

Above your knees is the head unit. You can unplug the speakers there. They're a standardish connector so you can get a cheap unit and and use Bluetooth through that for music.

Also, make sure you turn down the warning volume. It's still way too loud, but less so.

I have my speakers behind amps. And I still hear the loud gong even when I know the amp is de-energized. The sound must come from somewhere else. Or perhaps my installer powered the amps from a place that energized with the car display?

My thought was someone could just unplug the speakers.

You really CAN tune it out thought. While I was an early proponent of ear protection and always have it available, one day I was in the proximity of a loud bang and the ringing never went away. After a long spell of anxiety and anger, I decided to quit going down the rabbit hole of fixing it, and in turn I decided to live with it. And thats all she wrote. Worse things have happened to better people. So while I too would prefer not to have the bongs and bings of the car, they aren't going anywhere. I would suggest people just make their decision, and move on with life from there.

The small reminder clicks and dings that occur when crossing lines or going over the speed limit do not personally bother me all that much but that “gong” is really, really annoying and if I had to listen to that all the time, my patience and love for this vehicle would fade. Everybody has different pain thresholds, of course.

I had an experience where the rear door sensor would go off if I accelerated very quickly but the warning display would only show up for a tiny fraction of a second so it went unnoticed until it stayed on for just a bit longer once and even then it was just a flicker of something in the corner of my eye. It was so short, in fact, that I had to have one of my kids take a video of it in slow motion and watch it back frame by frame. Once I figured out it was the back door, I reshut it and the problem was solved. I can’t say for sure but I think the door was properly shut to begin with but I wasn’t really paying attention to that as I was so pumped to have seemingly figured the newest Grenadier mystery out. That said, I would think it is possible that the sensors could theoretically could have been installed in certain vehicles in a manner could make them too sensitive allowing it to be tripped even if the door is safely latched. I have no idea if this is possible and I don’t think this is the case in my vehicle. I am just putting it out there in case it helps others.

I get the low fuel warning but fix that by adding fuel and it goes away.
I have had hardly any bongs, and haven’t noticed any difference after the software update.
I don’t even a working alarm, so I can leave the dogs inside.
But after driving over a speed bump, maybe a bit to fast, the day before yesterday my car tells me to refuel.
Also it bongs when open a door.
I think I will try Dave’s genius fix tomorrow.

I have a random bong. Usually underway at speed, that I just cannot ID. I can live with it, but my curiosity want to know! I’ve never caught a warning on the display.

Mine goes off like crazy when they do road repair by just filling in cracks with tar... lol It thinks I'm driving like a maniac. ;)

My radio/audiobooks drown out the alerts😜….low fuel is loud but the rest are mild and easy to ignore (for me)
