Grenadier Spotted

Thanks @stickshifter! Totally agreee with all of your points. They definitely don’t want a Grenadier (not for the cost, nor for the off-road mechanical bias) - they're of the same age as your Mom. However, I do think maybe the Land Cruiser might be a viable option for them. My mother in law prefers a boxy vehicle and my father in law wants a hybrid (he’s a tight wad, and wants to save money any chance he gets - not blaming him for that!). I also think maybe the new defender might be a good option as I believe it is considered a mild hybrid.

Yeah - some Defenders are mild hybrid - you have a choice of power trains.

The Landcruiser is a 4-cylinder, turbo, mild hybrid. Toyota does hybrids very well.

Lexus has their own version of the Landcruiser - the Lexus GX - with a turbo V6 (no hybrid). The Lexus will feel more "upscale", but underneath, the vehicles are very similar. Lexus typically has the highest reliability ratings in America. Both vehicles are boxy - so that should make the mother-in-law happy - which is important!

Powder day at Sunlight Mountain - almost a foot of fresh. Just as we started to skin up the mountain a white Grenadier pulled into the parking lot. Anyone on here?

It was a pretty drive down from our house...

Blue with black roof at St. Joes Hospital in Denver. Wife spotted it and sent me some pics. Her first time seeing one having never gone to event with me. She liked it. Thought the color was pretty. Was worried that it won’t fit in garage being as tall as it is. I measured awhile ago, and I had a few inches to spare.

I still have only seen three on a dealer delivery trailer. That was back in December. I also have not spent idle time in public, so I’ve only encountered one Grenadier fan in the wild (ironically, 3 minutes after leaving the dealer!).

Saturday, spotted the testdrive Ineos Grenadier of Hedin automotive at the junction E40/E17 in Zwijnaarde (Ghent) Probably someone on a test drive . They didn’t notice me, they were to busy to drive true the heavy traffic and probably not that relaxed as I was.
Then back, almost home in Zwevegem, on the roundabout, spotted a mushroom White, and we gave each other a wave. I was surprised to spot one that close to my home. Anyone else on this forum with a Grenadier living in the Kortrijk area?

Sunday 11.02. spotted a magic mushroom with roofrack and awning between Skoura and Ouarzazate heading west.
Couldn't recognise the numberplate.
I am told the owners of Sawadi Ecolodge in Skoura have one like that.

My son and wife saw one today at his Westridge Middle School, where she was picking my son up. They sent me video of of it at School and following down Bee Caves Road in Austin, Tx, Eldoret Blue and White roof. But I am happy to report I am 45-60 day window when I be picking up my Eldoret Blue with White Roof.
