Has anyone re-geared the transmission after increasing tire size? I have upgraded my tires from 265 to 285 and i was wondering if i should re-gear or not.

Yeah i think just leaving it would be the best option. Although i did feel once the transmission shifts down gears especially in low speeds it does feel like the shifts are quite harsh. I don’t know if thats normal or not.If you are only going up to a 285 it would easier to leave it and see how the car performs, it will most likely be ok.
There is nothing out there to regear the ZF transmission or the transfer case.
Regearing the differential may be an expensive option. The best source of information would be to approach Carraro directly with the information from the id plates on the axle and see what other crown wheel and pinion ratios are available for the Grenadiers axle configuration. Carraro is better known for tractor components so finding aftermarket gear ratios for the diffs could be very difficult. The other hassle would be finding a dealer or a workshop willing and with the tooling to regear a Carraro diff.
Transmission shifting harshness won't be altered by changing the axle ratios. A clunky downshift (especially 3-2 or 2-1) is definitely a feature of the transmissionYeah i think just leaving it would be the best option.
