Front and Rear Differential locks (how to)

Ok…
Had mine on the VERY early stages of the Macetown track here from Arrowtown (google if interested, great track with 25 water crossings in 15kms).
Centre diff no worries and have used before on tracks at home.
Both rear and front (after rear) all ok but some graunching on engagement at low speed. Happy in overall terms.
Off road mode engaged fine and I use this a LOT on mountain roads as I don’t like being belted in if possible. (Awesome feature as it stops bings and bongs)
However….🤔
Wading mode was “not available” after having all of the above engaged. 🤷🏼‍♂️
I’ve reviewed all the videos such as Loki’s one and the others above and I definitely did everything ok so who knows? Maybe just not the day for approved wading 🤣
Obviously went ahead anyway as we do!
Will keep an eye on it all and attempt again when I next take Shitake for a shallow swim and underbelly clean!

Wading mode was “not available” after having all of the above engaged. 🤷🏼‍♂️
If it determines that the engine temp/ambient temp is too high to shut off the radiator fan, or if a regen is occurring/needed it will refuse to engage wading mode

Have just tried again at rest and definitely no temp issues or dpf burn. Will not allow the mode to be engaged at all. Now struggling with selecting low range too! 🙄

Quick question re cross axle lockers - I have used mine a fair bit and they have got me out of trouble numerous times. Last time was yesterday up a clay bank, rear one made the difference. Also last weekend up a steep chalk track, both rear and front required, so overall very happy to have them and also the execution. What I'm not over the moon about is coming to engage them again when you have either recently disengaged them or turned the ignition off. Problem is I'm not sure how you can reset the buggers quickly so as to engage them again. Sometimes just not possible to drive a few tight circles so computer knows they are not engaged. They just both flash continuously and I don't think there is a way of engaging them again until the computer is happy they are not engaged.

Is there a work around to this issue anyone has found? It would be crucial in some circumstances to engage and disengage relatively frequently on non windy tracks. Hope I've explained my dilemma.

Bit of a non-answer but a possible workaround.
In his final assessment of the Grenadier Ronny Dahl was critical of the need to reset the last configuration if you are off-road and turn off the vehicle. That includes the diff locks, off-road mode, etc. Everything reverts to OFF or the default setting. Ronny's solution was to just leave the vehicle running for short stops (and especially to protect the battery if a DPF burn is in progress) Not ideal but versus the hassle of getting the lockers to re-engage on tight terrain as you have experienced, it might be necessary on occasion.

I feel like there is a hack here somewhere to temporarily hold power on the diff lock circuit when the vehicle is turned off, but the integration between the diff locks, wheel speed sensors and co-dependant systems is so tight it's likely to cause logic dramas. Then there's the battery drain...

It's more than just inconvenient. While you are doing circle work trying to convince the vehicle that the lockers are disengaged so you can re-engage them ASAP you likely won't have electronic traction control (a.k.a. brake traction control) or hill descent control because the vehicle will not apply individual wheel braking until the unlocked signal has been received. Has this been tested and confirmed, Robert Pepper perhaps?
